Can you request to get traded?

Just curious if it's possible.

Yes, via your agent when the agent calls you. You won't start getting regular agent calls until you approach your arbitration years. Those calls then start happening at the start of spring training, the all star game break, and the end of the season. The calls taper off a bit if you sign a multi-year contract, but you'll still get at least two such calls each season.
When you are in your rookie renewable contract years, the team owns you pure and true -- just like in real baseball. So, you are not likely to hear from your agent because once you sign that initial contract after being drafted, there is very little your agent can do for you until you reach arbitration.

In '25, you get agent calls several times a year- one in the offseason, one after spring training, one after the all-star break- I think I got one toward the end of the season, but I can't remember right now, but the first three I'm 100% confident on. It's not like '24 where it seems like totally random.

Yes, I got the call at the end of my first year (after I accepted my offer from my team) and I requested a trade. The shocking part was for the first time since I started playing the series it happened. My agent even verified before the trade if I’d be willing to play for the team.

I requested and was granted a trade like a month into my first season of AA. I was awful but apparently the Marlins had a ton of SS above me in the org and traded me to the A's. Now I'm AAA behind Jacob Wilson.

I’ve always thought a call agent option would be nice so you can request a trade or position change at any time instead of having to wait for them to call you.
