I agree. So I don't ever play or think about it. Same reason I never got into donkey shows.

@jisaksen2422_PSN I actually enjoy the mode. It’s just even less rewarding this year and not worth playing if your priority is progressing in DD.

So what exactly are you saying? You enjoy a less rewarding experience where you don’t really progress in DD? Unless you just have time to burn that just makes no sense at all.

@TripleH-4481_PSN I’m saying I enjoy playing the mode. I like the abbreviated sort of feel of a franchise like experience that offers DD progress. Unfortunately, it’s not rewarding enough to play. Does that make sense?

I get enjoying the game for the game of baseball alone. However, acknowledging the game isn’t rewarding and largely a time sink, especially compared to previous versions of the game is kind of dismissing a subpar effort by SDS. Players deserve better, SDS can do better, but the company simply doesn’t care as long as money is being made.

@TripleH-4481_PSN I’m not dismissing the mode being unrewarding at all. I’m specifically saying that. I’m just saying that I like the idea and setup of the mode. That has nothing to do with the rewards. I’m also specifically saying that it’s so unrewarding that I won’t play a mode I enjoy playing. I think you’re missing the point I’m trying to make here. I want to want to play this mode, but it’s even less rewarding than previous years and basically a waste of time.

I get what you are saying. It’s just sad to see this game regress so much because if they increased pack odds, toned down CPU pitching and fielding, and buffed hitting the game would actually be a lot of fun.
Instead they have nerfed everything and made the grind as tedious as possible to entice people to spend money. If they made a rewarding game people would still spend money because they wanted to, not because they felt they needed to just to make progress.

The mode was at least playable last year when hitting wasn't absolutely broken! It's difficult to come down from a deficit when perfect/perfect hits are line/fly outs the majority of the time. So frustrating...

It would also be nice if I got a single offer for any of the players I targeted for a trade...Should be able to choose which prospects to develop...I have no interest in developing a washed up veteran minor league player...I do enjoy the offseason FA...nice that it doesn't allow you to sign everyone you want like Dynasty mode...But I also don't like how they just force upon you free agents...Finally, let me choose my starting roster before a new season begins...the first season, okay, whatever the opening roster was for 2025 for the team sure. But subsequent seasons should allow you to set lineups/rotations.

Let's be honest. Games in general, even Diamond Dynasty are all largely time sinks. The reward should be the enjoyment and not some digital reward or achievement. Whether you earn rewards for your play is irrelevant.
I spent like 1.5-2.0 hours yesterday flying a Cessna 172 from Key West to Fort Myers in Microsoft Flight Sim 2024. I enjoyed it but there was no reward for doing so. But I know that some would find that dreadfully boring.
I have not even played March To October this year so I can't make any judgement. I do know that the original post would be more useful if they explained why they think it is garbage.
