How about a captain for jolt and color storm players so you can field a team of those and get a little boost?

Captains have never existed within the "power creep" format of DD. They have obviously been very careful to make sure these boosts aren't overpowered at this stage of the game, but hopefully they find a way to implement them to be more efficient soon enough.

Last years captain system made for great content and in a power creep would really switch teams up. Instead of making 1 meta captain if they came out with 3 bangers we’d see different and interesting teams.

@GoozeFn_PSN The Color Storm cards are plenty useable. Just as Jolt were on day one. Are they the best cards in the game? no. But they shouldn't be.

@trfatboy22_MLBTS Very few combinations offer a proper theme team that’s good enough. SDS has no foresight. Not giving every team a pitcher and hitter is inexcusable. They also should have scaled the Jolt cards up with the new ones. I get why they are slow playing releasing non theme team captains, but there’s no reason to hold back on team captains. They could make them far better and they still won’t be the meta.

@GoozeFn_PSN wholeheartedly disagree with you. Again, theme teams can't all be the best teams. Because as soon as say the Marlins are viable then the Yankees and Dodgers are unbearable. That's just the nature of the available options. Personally I don't think captains or Parallels or IE should exist at all. I want the card to be the card and I don't like all the ways to manipulate them. However I understand the necessity for it for some people to play the way they want and that's ok.
But what it boils down to is if you want to play a theme team you can. but you should never expect that to be your best roster.

@trfatboy22_MLBTS I don’t expect nor do I want theme teams to be the meta, like I said before. They should be competitive though. Unfortunately, they are underwhelming.

@GoozeFn_PSN they won’t be meta if they drop good content. It just give a reason to use a card I like longer till I get a better one to replace him. There have been times where a position had to be upgraded because of the power creep (good) but there’s not a guy I vibe with. Captain boosts last year fixed this issue for me.
