The online program problem
-
I was fortunate enough to have finished the LS series collection last Tuesday, and I acquired Rolen last night.
That being said, for the last few years once the “long term goals” were complete and content went from “finish this to make progress towards the big goal” to “finish this so you’re caught up” there were always the online programs to turn to so there was something to do.
There was an event I could grind out 25 wins to get a couple cards with a non-god squad lineup.
There was the BR program so there was a reason to play BR for those that can’t go flawless. I’ve come close a few times, but to no avail.
There was the ranked reward path to get the WS reward without having to make WS. Again, close but no cigar.
This year however, with it all lumped into one, it seems like there’s no reason to play online as long as you can keep up with the multiplayer program. But it can all be done within events, relatively quickly. At least in the past, there was a stagger to it so you always had ranked, BR and events with minimal overlap in the paths.
That being said, I have no incentive to play ranked because the last Weekend Classic got my rating so high that when the season reset, I’m in the division I want to be in.
So please SDS, consider adding the separate programs back for next year so there is a purpose to play online, especially for those who can’t go flawless, or make WS. I know it’s too late for this year, but just think about it going forward.
