The stairs in the centerfield gap that leads from the field to the door, is considered "out of play". Corbin Carroll hit the left set of stairs on the fly and was ruled a 476 foot HR. I just find that to be interesting as it is not a part of the stands. Geno Suarez hit a one-hopper against the wall at the 483 foot sign and it just bounced off and he was able to get a triple from it. I wonder if the game would call it a ground-rule double if I one-hop it onto the stairs instead of on the fly.
