Sds doesn't know what "curveball" is lol

Didn't they promise us curveballs for the content drop this weekend?
Everything is copy & paste and not even better lol.
Please someone tell them we need interesting content. Weekend classic is terrible. Just like I predicted in my 25 review..

Good thing nobody knows who you are or cares about your review...

Honestly I think their curveball was Continuing the Double XP and making it a weekend of Double XP and Double PXP. Maybe they also considered lessening the XP needed for boss packs a curve ball.
The problem is that the community takes every marketing/hype statement they make and starts imagining the most unlikely of scenarios, getting their hopes up, and then they express disappointment when the truth never lives up to those hopes.

What’s funny is that double xp still doesn’t even equal what normal xp used to be. I just played a game in mlb 23 and it was night and day on the amount of xp, perfect perfect hits, higher exit velocities, cpu throwing hittable pitches and just generally much more rewarding gameplay.
People that weren’t playing 2 years ago have no idea how it used to be. If you haven’t done it yourself I’d recommend any player go back and just play 1 game then come back to 25. It will confirm all we’ve been saying and thinking and then some.
-
@TripleH-4481_PSN I believe you, I'm not reinstalling old versions of the game just to verify though
I mean, if you want to know that they have gone overboard on scaling back the gameplay XP all you need to do is look at the fact that we are in the middle of a 10 or 11 day stretch of Double XP and that they moved the boss packs earlier in the timeline, probably due to how few of us finished last inning (I did not even earn a boss pack).

Biggest agree in your statement is : “CPU throwing hittable pitches”
The CPU pitching dots and balls is so annoying. Sometimes I just want to take out frustrations and smash the cpu 35-0 but instead I’m forced to work the count and take a few walks. On rookie difficulty no less.

I'll be honest, I played one small conquest maps last night (3 games) and was so tired of the lack of decent contact on veteran that I stopped and I don't see myself playing today.
When my most reliable strategy is to wait for one of my players to get a hit and then sub in Victor Scott II so that he can steal 2nd (and occasionally 3rd) just to stay out of the double play and so that he can advance/score on one of my many fly balls then that is not that fun.
-
This is exactly how I’ve had to play far too much of this game. That is not fun in any way and since the nerfed base running even that strategy is more challenging. The squeeze is on.

This is my experience most of the time as well. Not really fun at all. I don’t recall this level of bad cpu locating pitches in past versions.

@Cactus_Gamr_PSN it had over 5k views on here so lol

@YOSHI24_XBL I expected it to suck. Its just ranked with slightly better rewards. Nothing great about it at all. I said that in my review. You can find it, but I can post the link here if you want.
