Not enough eligible players for challenge?

So I'm near the end of my mini season rebuild year. I was doing ok with the players I can. Now it says I don't have enough eligible players. I don't understand. I even changed players. Still doesn't work. I am 4 wins from winning Kris Bryant. I don't want to restart. Anyone know how to fix this?

Have the cpu generate your roster see if that helps

This. I had the same issue and this fixed it.
