We now have two different Flashback and Legends series that can be completed without doing Showdowns. So, apparently now completing Showdowns are now going to be required to finish collections for the end of the month collection rewards. I am not a fan of SDS having these collections require us to do Showdowns. At least with the online rewards are sellable and people can buy them and still use the cards to complete collections. In the past, we could get away with not completing one series, but unless they change that this year, looks like they are forcing us to do Showdowns (4 times for each of them as well) to be able to complete the collection. Also, the NLB collection looks like will cost over 300K stubs.

Both showdowns that have cards required for the collection are extremely easy. The Jackie showdown is probably one of the easiest ones they’ve ever released and you don’t even have to restart it if you lose to a mini boss. Both runs through the Jackie showdown took me maybe 45 minutes total. Yes, two runs. You get two cards per pack in this one. So they made it even easier for you.

You’re never going to get better at the game if the highest difficulty you’re willing to play on is veteran. Are the showdown sliders buffed a little? Sure. But the mode isn’t impossible to beat.

@dmc04005_PSN That is nice that JR will only be twice. I just did one run of the Pipeline and yes it was easy, but I am still not a fan of having to do the Showdowns. Thanks for letting me know about the JR Showdown though!

I can beat all the levels of the game, choose to play on Veteran vs CPU for grinding the other programs and Showdowns are not going to improve gameplay in the other modes. I also do not care about necessarily getting better at the game. I play the game to have fun and I do have fun in the way I play this game. I play on all difficulty levels and I play all the modes the games has to offer. I am one that doesn't care about getting better or about particular stats or records. Maybe if more people would just play this video game for fun, maybe more people would enjoy the game and be less whiny in the forum.

I am close to 100% sure, that showdowns will not be necessary to complete the upcoming collection. If you do not have enough cards, wait a little to have newer cards released or having the price come down (Dihigo‘s price will come down in the MP program3)

They said you will need the 4 cards from showdown only to complete it now, when the 3rd drop of storylines happens(May 2nd I think they said) there will enough to complete the collection without the showdown cards.

You know, the one “simple” change SDS could make to DD that would probably satisfy most of the concerns we have is to have all modes play the same for similar levels.

In other words, Rookie mode plays the same vs. CPU, in mini seasons, in conquest, in showdowns, DQ, moments, etc.

And similarly for veteran, all star, and higher levels.

If they want to make a mode tougher, put higher rated cards in the lineup for the opponent. Not jack up the sliders as they do now
