Why are these live series cards going for so much? I dont remember prices being this high in the past.

The live series cards are still the best cards in the game. Plus the collection cards in the live series are all also some of the best cards in the game. In the last few years the influx of 99s at the beginning made these cards pretty obsolete pretty fast.

Need to wait for flash sales and better cards for them to drop

With Weekend Classic coming up, there will be a lot of packs given out. I wonder if LS will drop at all. Even 10-20%?

Normally I would think this but what makes this different is the spread out nature of people earning these packs. On big content days, the market drops temporarily because people are opening packs at roughly a similar pace.
I'm not sure we're going to see enough people opening packs at the same'ish time to see prices drop enough.
That said, if prices do drop enough I will be ready to buy for flipping!

This is nothing compared to 17.
Trout was 500k all year, Harper was around 300k, pretty sure that Altuve was around 200k or more, Starsburg was a cheap diamond and was 20 to 30k.
They're the best cards in the game, and will be for awhile so prices are gonna remain high.
