    Doesn’t the HR/9 of the opposing pitcher affect exit velo?

    @Dookie-Possum_XBL

    No, they changed that in MLB The Show 19 because no one could hit a HR off 99 Clayton Kershaw once he got his confidence up a bit. It shows in the handbook as a simulation (non diamond dynasty) stat only.

    I'm not asking for every squared up ball to leave the yard but at least give me mid 90s exit velo when i square up a ball with a guy with 100+ power

    The game is completely random I just had 22 hits in a 9 inning game and 9 runs and lost by 9 because all my other outs were hard hit for the most part to someone and everything my opponent touched was gone. The game decided randomly based on too many algorithms what result is going to happen. And that leaves the game to mostly chance.

    @A_PerfectGame_PSN i came to this conclusion in mut a year or two ago. I fear all sports (and probably most fps that can, the ones that cant yet are working on it) games will be heavily rng and sbmm etc to keep everything "close" and keep casuals spending money from now on unless something changes. Sad.

    So for my team the only homeruns likely 95% of the time have been perfect perfects, atleast the last 8-12 I've hit mostly with Sosa, McGwire, Soriano and the gold Elly. Is that the trend or just a streak I am on? I switched from the bat to the altitude and hit way better with that it seems.

    Not enough information to determine.

    You are asking a physics question without giving ANY real numbers. Yet you want a real number as a result. You also did not say what pitch was thrown. Hitting a fast ball is going to give greater exit velocity than hitting a slow curve. How fast was the pitch? You were not squared up completely unless the game said "Perfect". "Good Timing" leaves a huge range of timing possibilities.

    Most of my home runs have not been perfect/perfect. Conspiracy theory debunked.

    If life is random, then by definition there is no way to determine this. If life is deterministic, then no matter what you did the exit velo would be the same.

    @A_PerfectGame_PSN You gave up 18 runs...I don't think any special algorithm was needed to determine the winner of that game..

    @GixxerRyder750_PSN

    The saddest part of these forums is the 95% probability that the people showing up to topics like these and being rude are people that don’t play online. Do both of you realize that you are able to see people who play online express frustration with the gameplay without you being required to comment? Your experiences offline are irrelevant to the discussion and you don’t have any experience in which to insult others over theirs. It’s possible to recognize that the topic isn’t for you and to sit it out.

    No, the saddest part is that you're wrong. OP was talking of BR, but the issue is throughout the game. How is exit velo only online?
