So I've been mulling over things they could do to franchise to make it feel more fun and realistic and one thing for me is there are sooooo many players who are like 26-28 and C potential that don't even feel worthwhile giving ABs to because they simply don't have time to develop before they are 30 using the current progression system. BUT what if there was something in Franchise that allowed for players to have "Breakout" seasons just like in real life.

Take Brent Rooker for example, came up late and was pretty bad his first few seasons. I'd have to look to see his initial overall rating in 2023 but I'm sure it was very low given his abysmal stats to that point. But during that season at age 28 he broke out and is now a highly rated player with one of the strongest bats in the game because in newer iterations those big seasons are rewarded. But in Franchise it feels like you can have a guy like this hit 30 bombs and only go up like 2-5 overall points. When in DD having this season the devs boosted him from a 65 to a 73 then to an 84 the next year. There is not a single universe in Franchise where you have a player, especially a 28 year old, grow 20 overall points in 2 seasons. But in real life this can happen! And this is just the first example I thought of, I'm sure there are plenty others. I think this would add a LOT of depth to franchise mode and make those older prospects feel more worth your time.

TL:DR Allowing players to have "Breakout seasons" would let older prospects reach their potential (and more) before the mandatory age 30+ regression that the current franchise engine forces.

@EmberBurnsAll13_PSN Doesn't it seem like this would add some much needed depth and variance in the game? It feels like as it plays now you have to have someone with at least B potential or they are just worthless (trade value wise) no matter how much they are performing. But if they were a C potential - breakout then that could be something that adds into the equation.

If the minor league stats remained visible after each season, we could update player ratings on our own for those breakout candidates.

@VF1S_Rick_Hunter_PSN I'm talking about breakout major leaguers. But I do agree that minor league stats should definitely be visible on the player card.
