Are torpedo bats being developed by SDS, for use in the game, and if so will they have a larger perk when hitting, increased power over 10?

The Yankees have an MIT physicist named Lenny who made the bats to improve offense. I heard a couple teams Including the Braves who ordered some for mlb. It’s not increasing their power, just focusing on where they hit the barrel most? Not a yankees fan, just like how they’re legal and helping hitters
