Players with wrong jersey numbers?

First noticed this with breakout diamond Carlos Gonzalez. He should be #5 but he’s listed and is wearing #2
Same for All-Star Curtis Granderson. Should he #14 but it’s since changed to #21? Is this an error or are they using their last known numbers? Cargo is currently on the Mariners roster and is listed as #27

The live series cards use their current numbers today. Flashbacks use the number they had from that specific year. BO CarGo wears #5 for me.

That’s my point, Carlos is wearing #2 for me. In conquest mode and RS games it’s showing #2. Must be a weird glitch. Kinda annoying but I guess it’s whatever
