What time does the double xp weekend start on the 27th?

I know drops and stuff happen at 3pm ET but was curious for the double xp weekend starting on opening day, does it start at 3pm ET or will it be before the games start? Thanks in advance

Updates are ALWAYS 3pm ET. And for the record, its double PXP, not double XP.

@Easy_Duhz_It__PSN I'm so happy they have finally added a double pxp weekend. People have been wanting this forever and honestly it's a superior doubling to that of XP. Especially this year when getting to 500k XP is extremely easy...at least with this first xp path.

It's Double PXP, I believe for the first time ever. And this is actually pretty cool with the format this year. You can burn through TA programs a little quicker, which will advance through each TA faster and net you extra XP awards on each of the 30 reward paths.

@SchnauzerFace_MLBTS not really; PXP is tied to 3 cards per program; getting to the first diamond in TA is harder then getting PXP for it.

Sure, but it will move you through those three goals more quickly. And there are other programs where PXP will move you along the reward path more quickly. The Tokyo series and the Pipeline series and I'm pretty sure the Richie Allen / Ubaldo Jimenez / Whoever thing will also move more quickly with faster accumulating PXP.

@SchnauzerFace_MLBTS for sure, I was thinking more of the Threads program. But I still have to hit XBHs with Marlins players to get Gold and Diamond lol (I did ChiSox for Big Hurt, not doing Miami)

This may actually convince me to play some with program players. I am not a big fan of PXP missions in programs because I feel like all my time is spent grinding with players that I don't want to use just to advance a program.
Of course I could simply keep playing with my Cardinals team and get a Parallel level or two on a many of the players. I am about halfway between P4 and P5 for both Gibson and Helsley.

I kind of wish there were more PXP missions in that original TA path. Once you earn the PXP with the three players you get it just becomes a stat grind.

Nice! Believe it or not I have no P5s this year. Just a lot of P3s and 4s.
Manny will probably be my first, but I enjoy playing with him so much that I'm taking it slow to get him to p5. Who knows when we get the next Manny. Could be a while.

If you do the moment, the first pxp and the pitching missions you'll unlock the diamond. Midway through the pitching missions, you'll unlock the gold. Do that pxp and the On The Rise wins/innings and you'll get the captain.

It would have made sense to have a team based one that give a good chunk of progress when you hit it.
I do not mind the stat grind as it brings back memories of 18 which I did enjoy but now more team focused gives me reason to play 9 inning vs cpu games again

Hitting missions are for after you have the diamond, 30 IP (15k-2missions,5 wins(15k-2 missions)
5k for the moment and 20k for silver/gold missions that's your diamond player. -
