If you can only pick one name per team, who would be your most wanted Legend additions for 2025?
It could be just be a personal favorite player and not an all-time great.

Much as I as a Giants fan hate to say it, but Barry Bonds has to be the Giants rep. Would love Tim to be there, of course, but Barry was committed to the Giants. Two reasons were his dad, Bobby Bonds, and his godfather, Willie Mays.

I totally get it. Me personally, I didn't really have a favorite for Pittsburgh - apologies to all the Andy Van Slyke fans - so figured I could use Bonds there to free up the SF slot.
Think it's either going to be him or A-Rod getting revealed at the end of the Legends trailer in a few weeks.
-
Please no Curt Schilling for the Phillies, needs to be someone else but not Mike Schmidt
-
Jose Bautista

How about Mitch Williams?

Robin ventura
Plus he's be eligible on lad, Mets, nyy, cws if they allow that with boosts next year

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that we get a bunch of new legends. Given that MLB 25 won't be on Game Pass, I'm thinking that SDS is banking on a lot of new "paid" versions this year. So, they need to entice people to buy.
That's my "tin foil hat" post for 25. They announced Manny and Clemens relatively early. So... I'm hoping for some big names to come.
-
For the Athletics (there is no more Oakland, finally): my heart wants Carney Lansford, but I’d be thrilled with Tim Hudson.
-
I think for the A's it's gotta be someone from the Moneyball squad like Hudson/Zito/Tejada or Canseco.
-
@SakAttack87_PSN, I like those guys, too... Canseco isn't a Moneyball guy, though

Oh, I'm aware I was saying I would take any of those three Moneyball guys or someone like Canseco. That Milestone 40/40 card would be fun.

I thank him every day for throwing that pitch to Will Clark that Clark hit at Candlestick that year, too. I tried to heckle him at 'The Stick the next season and his response said he didn't like it.

I was surprised they announced Clemens so soon. If I was in charge, I would have just announced Manny and saved Clemens for the climax. Which means whoever they're keeping quiet is a biggie. I'm guessing one of them won't be Nomar since they already announced two Red Sox players, though I'd love that (just don't make him a Dodger).
-
Agreed. The fact that they dropped Manny and Clemens already makes you think they have a pretty big reveal left for the official Legends trailer.
Those two have been major requests for years now so the fact that neither is the main event makes it hard not to get excited.

Love the idea of Cecil Fielder for Detroit, but also want to add Tony Phillips, Travis Fryman, Tony Clark, Damion Easley, Bobby Higginson...just to name a few. If you want to go the '90s route.
I'd also love to see Lou Whitaker. No reason Sweet Lou shouldn't be a legend.
-
For the Cardinals, there are players I would like before Rolen.
Ted Simmons - With Molina out of the game the catcher choices have been limited.
Chris Carpenter - Other than Bob Gibson there have no legend pitchers for Cardinals.
Willie Mcgee - The only Cardinal MVP winner since 1967 not in the game (not counting Pujols)Obviously I would like PUjols, Wainwright and Molina back but until that point I would take the above.
