Overlapping Captains?

I searched and didn't see a post for this question.
Is there any benefit to having overlapping captains?
I have a lineup right now with Tyler Matzek (Players from Atlanta Braves: +15 H/9, +15 Pitching Clutch, +17 Power vs R, +17 Contact vs L) and Dansby Swanson (Players from Atlanta Braves: +17 Contact R, +17 Batting Clutch, +15 K/9, +15 BB/9)
Between the two of them, there are some great boosts, but I'm not sure the system will accept the boosts from both captains.
Can anyone enlighten me on this?

Yes. You can play a pitcher and a hitter captain. However, if one max boosts the player attribute to 125; the other won't boost it past 125.
