you only have to quit Diamond Dynasty. That's an easier choice
Tell that to the people in here who've been "threatening" to quit since 2018. Every year is the last one they're buying....and every year they cant wait til the new one comes out.
Maybe you're right. If Sony was as confident as you they probably would have made the change already. I guess we'll find out for sure in 4 months or so. My bet is that PS4 will still be supported.

Finally. The last 2 years, this was the reason I slowly stopped playing DD around August. Got tired of grinding for a reward to have it taken away couple days later.

Almost all positive sounding changes. We will see what they actually boil down to when the game is released. If there is one thing SDS has always been decent at is putting things in the best light and drumming up interest before launch.
The only thing that bothered me was the following statement in Gameplay
Gameplay: With the expansion of quick time events
Yuck, quick time events.
What does “quick time events” mean?
Anybody?
They are timed button presses. There were a few moments that used them but it is mainly seen in RTTS when fielding. The press AXBBY prompt that you only have a second or two to hit those buttons in order.

There were a couple of moments in the Jeter & Negro League storylines where you had to field/throw a ball.
Those.
I think those are Quick Time Moments.
I bet it's a mistype and they meant Quick Count Events. Don't think they had any this year.

I'm thinking it's a mistype and they meant to type Quick Count Events.

Doubtful, there are definitely quick time events. Especially in RTTS

Guess it helps if I actually read what was in the blog. Looks like you're correct. My apologies.

@NWOStunna_PSN It's basically the moments with a timed sequence of buttons

Everything I read sounds great except...
Not one mention of improving graphics so they're actually next gen.
This is absurd. How long has PS5 been out? 3 or 4 years?
Will we get next gen graphics for MLB the Show '30?
It's disappointing if you have next gen but not absurd.
The data is probably clear that a huge % of the player base is on ps4; there's also a % on the Switch. That's $. And SDS will NOT make two versions of the game to appease the current gen gamers.
