It's just something people say about the team that's in the same division as theirs, redsox fans are saying the same thing about the Yankees except the Yankees keep winning. You don't rout for a team that plays in your division in the playoffs

I understand now I became a dodgers fan until that series is over cause don’t want the Yankees to win

Because we're division rivals and hate each other, just like the Yankees and Redsox hate each other and the Rangers and Astros hate each other. Rivalries are a big part of the game

I believe it started in 2007 with Rollins stating that the phils were the team to beat,and the Mets had a big division lead at start of September that phils overcame and again in 08.that started it,
and if you look to the other side a lot of Mets fans have an anti phils complex,so it's not like it's unfair -

You remember - every team to beat the Phillies in the postseason has either won or lost the world series except the Mets.

and if you look to the other side a lot of Mets fans have an anti phils complex,so it's not like it's unfairEh, I still view the Braves as the big rival to the team. There is just more history there.
In general though I never understood the whole 'act like you are a 10 year old because you play in the same division' mentality.

Steven Kwan and Jose Ramirez still need 99's. I expect one of them to get the finest for Cleveland.
