What's the deal with smack talking trolls messaging during games?

Why do people do this?
I don't know about you guys but I come to play the game and have fun. Just played with a dude who, not even two batters in, messages me a two paragraph diatribe about "internet b um juice" and me being "scared" and accusing me of using a "laggy stadium" (it was the current Yankee Stadium) and threatening that this was the last game I would ever play with this account, then in game started with the "bunt dancing"...
Like, seriously. What is wrong with people?

Either turn off your messages which is the obvious thing to do if it bugs you that bad or you could beat him and replay everything. Bunt dancing does nothing besides mess the batter up because they’re not fully focused on hitting and that’s when you should capitalize on him trolling
