I'm curious as to why you say that. I don't really use them outside of the team captains for my favorite team, but they seem to add some incentive for people to try different lineups. Sure some are used way more than others but without them I would assume you would see even less lineup diversity than you see now.

You would think it would add diversity to lineups. I just see switching hitting lineups with players boosted. I'll use Joe Kelly and Joc Pederson every once in a while but I would trade them to get rid of it all together.

@Msk5031_PSN Captains have been more fun this year because we’ve been able to have them on the bench. I agree, just allow us to have them active on our bench.

For one...We're in 99 territory. So captains are really moot at this point...I mean do you really need an extra 15 power when you got a guy that's already 100+? Even if you're running a Set Restricted Theme Team and forced to use a bunch of lower tier cards or LS is sacrificing using the Keirmaier Captain to boost the entire team worth it instead of 1 99? I think it is. That being said...I prefer pitching captains for this exact reason. Mainly cause if I'm using captains, it's on a non set restricted lineup. The whole premise of the captains was to boost your squads at the beginning of each season when you had to use Core cards and didn't have many Set "X" cards for whatever team you're using. I'd prefer more Specialty Captains like the Cornerstones, but without the goofy activation requirements.

@theBlindRhino_PSN They do need more balance. Why is the solution always get rid of it instead of fixing the problem? Done right they add lineup diversity. This is the same mentality that got CAP’s removed and SDS moving the game backwards.

Unfortunately, it seems that no matter what SDS does to try and diversify there will always be some "meta" lineup that is used more than others. I think it is inevitable no matter what

I'd prefer to see more captains. Keep the two per team, but add more more more of the "theme" captains. First round draft picks, hall of famers, 500+ HRs, gold gloves, silver sluggers, played for more than 5 teams, pipsqueaks, uggos, dudes with hot wives, guys who look like they probably smell bad, dudes with mullets, etc. You could really get creative with these.
BUT! ... give us a way to sort our collections to match the captains!
