This isn't good. They're not impossible tasks. It could even make a casual player better, bearing down and getting the 8 each done.
They probably received many tearful e-mails on this and caved...... -

I remember countless sessions, measuring hours of my time trying to get 10 TB on all star with Pujols so that I could earn a single Jim Edmonds card in moments extreme years ago.
Either it's "rewarding" to challenge yourself to do difficult things, and that's reward in itself. Or it "sucks" to waste hours of your time trying the same challenge over and over again, and you should get extra head pats for going through that.
You guys should probably make up your minds about which it is. -

Of course they did. People are so quick to give up on themselves so they message the devs and try to make them feel like assholes for making something "impossible". Of course "impossible" to some people means trying something once or twice, not getting it done and quitting.. Granted it wasnt the easiest moment ever created but it definitely wasnt impossible. Once you can get out of your own head, stop swinging at trash and focus, it's done. The CPU will ALWAYS give pitches to hit as long as you dont chase 3 straight out of the zone.

But others do. I am kind of in a weird spot on this one. I am absolutely for difficulty settings for single player games but I can also understand the mindset of those who are a little miffed about this.
It's like buying a new product on Friday for $100 only to learn that the company cut the price to $50 on Monday. Granted, we are talking time instead of money here, but how many hundreds, if not thousands of hours were collectively spent by the community getting those last 4 bases for both of those guys?
Plus, it is bad for SDS. Now people may go "I am going to hold off on these moments to see if they make them any easier."

And no I didn't complain to SDS about it I just resigned myself to the fact that I was never going to complete the program and still might not because of McCutchen's 6 total bases moment and Carpenter's 2 XBHs in one game moment

Don't sweat them. If you fail 5x; play a Conquest game ir somethinf else. Come back after you've calmed down. Don't press. Try Directional. Up and to the side of the plate that they're standing.
Ex: Cutch is a righty. So up and to the left (11 O'Clock).
Don't swing until you get two strikes (taken). No need to Power Swing. Watch those because if the pitcher throws two pitches on the zone, in the first two of the AB, 99.9% the next 2 will be out of the zone.

I always just go up, trying to pull a fly ball is a shorter window than just trying to hit a fly

Haha I should have waited, not going to lie though it felt very rewarding getting 8 bases with Pillar against Scherzer though.

Pillar's 8 TB were easy for me, but that Abreu 8 TB moment was brutal. It took me like 45 minutes

As Adam Sandler said, something that could have been brought to my attention yesterday. You really need to think about how these moments will make people feel before the program comes out

If people ever wonder why gaming companies often dont engage with their players, this thread is a good example why.

These MiLB moments are better than the career tribute moments, there is no need for 8 total bases or 6 total bases or even 2 XBHs in one game

I finally managed to do the 2 XBH moment by using Zone hitting and strike zone high for the view, now just need to do McCutchen's 6 total bases and 1 HR moments
Update- did all the moments just need to finish the program, thank you SDS for making the 2 8 total bases moments down to 4

@CBrev47_MLBTS what is the deal with the pitching being so terrible. I throw a perfect pitch aimed corner inside and it goes mid zone outside on a 4 seam fastball or a slider aimed out of the zone hits dead center my account needs to be looked at period because it’s always something. It’s inconsistent. I have hit home run after homerun on pitches I should not be able to do that on as well so it’s not fair at all

love this change - give the sweats of the world a way to finish the program right away and and then let us casuals also complete it but a few days later.
