I liked the OOP concept for a short bit. It is a nice try to spotlight players at positions they actually played, but I would not pay for OOP packs or cards in the market. I still use Machado and Blackmon in my bullpen, and just put Big Mac in because of his high stamina. 40+ isn't bad, and hard to find.
I commend them for trying, though.

It WOULD be cool if that’s what it was but I’m pretty sure Kanley Jansen is the only player in that series that actually played his OOP position. I could be wrong. But I doubt it

@justhomass_PSN It’s not. I’ve enjoyed them. I’d rather them be early in the game cycle and not end game cards, but it’s a fun way to give us something different with a limited legends pool. It’s also a good way to give us more usable relievers.

@justhomass_PSN You are absolutely wrong. Trevor Hoffman was drafted as a Shortstop. Most if not all of those guys played those positions at some point.

Kenley Jansen as a catcher is my favorite out of position. That 99 arm and accuracy is why I like him, oh and switch hitting

OOP would have been fine in may. Id rather September highlight actual baseball more as its a great time to celebrate seasonal milestones and past playoff races.

The current program is great at least

@Dookie-Possum_XBL He also has the pop time quirk which is huge for catchers throwing out base runners and not a lot of good catchers have it.

@Teak2112_MLBTS I agree with that. At least they did it to start the season. Would have been better nearer launch though.

Bryce Harper was drafted as a catcher but the Nationals switched him to outfield after he was drafted

Mark McGwire was a starting pitcher alongside Randy Johnson at USC in the early 1980's, Jake Cronenworth was a relief pitcher with the Tampa Rays both in their minor league system and in the majors, Kenley Jansen was a catcher with the Netherlands in the World Baseball Classic in 2013, I believe, and the Los Angeles Dodgers farm system, before switching to relief pitching just about a year later, and Masyn Winn was a starting pitcher in high school and his first year in the minors for the St. Louis Cardinals before devoting all his time to playing shortstop, his other natural position, as he was drafted as a two-way player several years back. There are perhaps eight players that are legit in "The OOP Program," in their secondary positions; the rest are reaches or all-out misses. This was a decent program that I don't want to see again.

Don't forget about Bryce Harper he was a catcher then the Nationals made him into an outfielder when he was drafted
