No it is not required. At first the blog post ( https://theshow.com/news/dev-blog-a-deep-dive-into-season-3-in-mlb-the-show-24/ ) was a little confusing because it had the Moonshot program in the text and the moments-of-glory-program in the little picture.
Now they fixed that …The Moonshot program is not required, it is the Moments-of-Glory-program
