Why did they put him in a St. Louis Browns uniform when he never played for them under that name?

This guy is the absolute worst. I am so tired of seeing him every year in different variations. I actually pulled up his stats and being that he played for 23 years, very unimpressed. Never hit more than 30 HRs, one season over .300 and fell off the last five years of his career. I absolutely cannot stand Brooks Robinson.
