I just created a stadium and I'd like to know what a good elevation would be, I currently have it set at 1250, I also created a high elevation version, set at 5279.

Set it at a value fitting to the city you selected. If you chose to select an "Anywhere USA" concept, then something around 50 to 150 feet would match the setting of most ballparks.

@PriorFir4383355_XBL I enjoy seeing the custom stadiums, but I've been wondering if it's possible to set it to a negative elevation.

No, there is a set limit on the low and high end, and negative numbers therefore are not possible. The sole role of elevation is to replicate the effect on ball travel in the air, with higher altitudes having thinner air and allowing the ball to travel further.

@PriorFir4383355_XBL Ok. Had me thinking, especially with a city like New Orleans whose elevation is below sea level. Haven't played a Show game with the custom stadium option, but that's always been on my mind, seeing a lot of custom stadiums being made at the max allowed elevation.

The reason for the high number of custom stadiums with the max elevation is because sadly too many peoples' prime motivations with stadium creation is to make something that allows a skewed result of game play. One reason to do this is to gain an increase in points playing DD mode as well as to gain a supposed tactical advantage in coop games.

To the people, such as myself, who design custom stadiums strictly as a form of artistry, trying to create stadiums that are both aesthetically pleasing but primarily realistic and appropriate for playing virtual baseball games in, such stadiums designed to "cheat" in DD play is an insult.

This is a prime reason why I have been advocating that no custom stadiums be allowed in DD play modes.

Any fences past 350 need higher elevation to be comp. I make stadiums with 320-335 fences and set my elevations around 1000. Talking from DD POV if you don’t want a trampoline pad but want to be rewarded.

@PriorFir4383355_XBL Understandable on that. If I had a newer system (best I have right now is a PS4), I would create a few stadiums to be more of my kind of style, but not a max elevation stadium. I do thank you for letting me know that there's no ability to put in a negative elevation (which I'd use to combat the max elevation ones) but I habe an idea in my head for creating one ridiculous stadium with super high walls to keep any ball from leaving, and using it for a Moon shot event.

I built a minor league park in Flagstaff AZ which has an elevation of around 7,000 feet. The max the game allows is 5,279 so naturally I just use the max. BUT both my fences are 360 down the lines to compensate for it.

I agree, with the caveat that games vs CPU should still be allowed.
