For the last few years MLB the show flags my last name as inappropriate. Kills the immersion for me. I have to remove a letter so the game allows it.

Is your last name available in the audio files? If so, that’s just hypocritical of them!!!

The elephant in the room here is your last name. None of us know you from Adam, and so you may well refuse to state it and that is fine. But, while I have found some of the rules against team nicknames a bit extreme, all of them except one is rooted in trying to keep juvenile delinquents from creating names used in online games that are profane.

Now, my philosophy for how to handle such perverts is simple -- a permanent, console based ban from everything online related to the game. Don't even bother asking -- you're done -- hit the road Jack!

However, SDS chose a different approach -- to review a list of names that might be creative joining of letters and words to try to hide profanity. My guess is your last name meets these expanded rules. I can think of hundreds of real life names that might fit such a situation. I mean George Carlin delivered an hilarious stage act where he had audiences rolling over with laughter about how "profane" words could be linked together and be fine for polite society -- "Want a cocktail, lady!"

The only time I ran up against an SDS rule on team names that made no sense was the name for the University of Alabama. Somehow, "Crimson Tide" runs afoul of SDS rules. How? Well, there is no legitimate angle. But, that's the way it is.
