What is going on with base running?

It’s a line drive into center field. Why the [censored] are you just standing there between first and second? It’s in the outfield, [censored] run! Great, yet another 8-4 putout.

Sorry I’m a little salty, that happened during a very pivotal moment of a ranked season game. Is anyone else having this issue or is my controller busted?

I have the Show '23, I haven't played the game in years. I mostly play in Franchise or RTTS and I'm finding it very frustrating in base running ( using classic mode/buttons) seems like I have tap the buttons multiple times and sometimes it doesn't even work, or if multiple runners are on they get tug out cause two players are on the base.Also my son has '24 for his switch and it does the same thing
