Were people really complaining that much about how the content was structured in 19/20?
Because it seems like heaven compared to seasons in 23/24. -
The biggest complaints were in 18. But make no mistake, complaints are nothing new around here.

Can't argue with that Farris

There are complaints every year about some aspect or another.
Change too drastically and people yearn for the old days.
Keep it the same as the previous year and people complain that the devs were lazy and simply cut and pasted the same content.SDS, at this stage is gonna get complaints no matter what they do.

I personally liked the programs last year that required a bit of effort to get done, using minions and captains to work through it. Others hated it.
I feel the programs this year are far too shallow. Others love that they take little effort.
I like playing with a wide array of cards. others just want to use a meta god squad.
I think MiniSeasons/Conquest should award a similar number of cards as BR/Event/Ranked. Others dont want to feel like they have to grind offlineIts possible to please both sets of people, but its not an easy thing to do.

In regards to this thread? They changed the content structure. It is different this year than it was last year, which was different than it was the year before, etc.
And as someone who has been around the forums for a long time I know that I see complaints about the content every year.

Complaining is ok , it just that some people act like immature children while they complain calling the company greedy calling the devs lazy calling anyone that actually likes the game horrible [censored] themed slurs .
I have complaints but I try to be constructive about it .
No game is perfect , my favorite game next to mlb is Elden Ring and that game is not perfect . Trust me you don't know frustration until you've played elden ring. -
Everybody knows that if a card is not 99/125 across the board with every single quirk then that card is mid and an L and it is our duty to complain about it.
But yes, people have been whinebabies on this forum (and Twitter and Reddit) about essentially everything SDS has done for the last 6 years. This year is much louder and more warranted than usual.

@jaychvz_XBL Wait...what's wrong with calling the Devs lazy? There is virtually no difference between last year's game and this year's game from a graphic or gameplay perspective. No new modes. Then factor in that a lot of the 'content' is recycled.
-
I think the tried to implement two things at once and they work against each other. Sets and seasons and captains. Captains and team building is fun, (minus the meta Santana), but the re-grind and restrictions of seasons I think is the issue. Also they don’t have a competitive mode anymore where you take all the cards your grinded for and go against other peoples cards in best of best mode, because they restrict ranked for some reason.

Is that on the Devs or on Sony for not giving SDS the resources they need to keep this game running on multiple generations, including the shitty Switch hardware?
We don't know, the devs may indeed be lazy but its the less likely scenario.
