The new season dropped today on FIFA and EA has introduced a new (for them) card dynamic- cards that are only usable for a specific period of time.

What I take from this is that Season specific eligibility for cards is working in promoting engagement and/or microtransactions. Or, at least EA thinks so.

I'm less sure today that the idea of Seasons is going away anytime soon.

@energystar157_PSN that's nothing new for EA. NHL had a system in Hut were you could, essentially, rent players for a set amount of time
