Not sure how many different ways it can be said but they're not "gone". They're in your inventory. You just can't used them for Ranked until you unlock wildcards.
You can use them in co op, you can use them in vs CPU and some mini seasons/conquests.
Not sure why this is so difficult for some of you to comprehend.

@beanball0571 They aren’t gone though. You still have them. You can still use them. There are just some restrictions.

REALLY think if people had to be verified & post under their real identity then these forums would be MUCH more efficient & friendly. When people can say anything to anyone with zero accountability, What you end up with is this forum.

He's telling the truth about still being able to use the season 1 cards in season 2. You just need to wild card them. They don't go away

Every time I read the posts here there’s like three unhinged people that attack any anti SDS comment. The game is obviously in a terrible state and no amount of personal attacks will change reality.

Most anti SDS comments are whiney nonsense and not remotely constructive. People think acting like internet Karens is acceptable behavior. In reality it just speeds up the trend towards EAlike customer animosity because SDS employees are less likely to fight for a customer base like ours. They might as well cave to the publishers. It's no secret that monetary success doesn't rely on costumer satisfaction.
And the actual personal attacks are mostly coming from the anti SDS posters (who are also the unhinged ones generally).

Would you really be so much happier if they removed seasons and the best possible card out right now was an 89 that was selling for 300k stubs? I'm not super sure that you would be.Anyway, IDK how anyone is that excited with an EA Sports CFB game, considering the latest Madden release.

Nostalgia plays a HUGE factor. If offline dynasty plays even close to how it used to it will be a win - regardless of gameplay. Online? Well that's probably not going to be great.

It sucks if the OP poster just learned about seasons and their restrictions but, at the end of the day, we consumers have a responsibility for educating ourselves before we make purchases. If you end up buying the game based on assumptions of how it should be or how it was in the past, or even if you fell for the marketing, then that is ultimately on us.

@Dolenz64 totally agree with you. Definitely had this info blasted on different screens and I SHOULD have seen it. Just wasn’t sure what all it entailed by the time I did pay attention. Figured surely there was no way that was right honestly. Because it’s dumb IN MY OPINION.
It gets annoying that the same people get on everyone’s posts behind a screen name and start throwing shots. This community was a lot better about this forum a few years ago. Guess I just miss the old heads.
I originally bought the game for RTTS. Wasn’t going to get into DD anymore after 22, but ended up right back in the thick of it haha

@sbchamps17 I play ranked 2 hours a night and I don't have enough 85 core cards to fill a team. Not even enough golds to be moderately competitive with the sweats who play this game.

I don't play online at all and still can field a team of core cards that aren't live series, Captain cards are core, the Derek Jeter cards are core, and the negro leagues are core plus the cards from the Jackie Robinson day program are core and if you finished any of the live series teams then those players are core as well so there is no reason for anyone to say that they can't field a diamond team in season 2 of core cards because there is plenty of them

@sbchamps17 I refuse to play offline. I would never play a sports game offline imo those days are gone and unnecessary with today's network capabilities.
Offline is too easy, too quick, too repetitive, and quickly gets boring
The EXACT team you are talking about I've built and it does NOT keep up for [censored] against anyone online.
You make a fair point if I cared to play offline for a competitive game that the dev team focuses more on online experience BY FAR than the offline experience.RTTS hasn't been good since the PS2 by the way. Storylines are literally the worst braindead boring game mode this game has to offer.
The ONLY reason to do storylines is for your collections. -

@sbchamps17 Bought a PvP game to play PvP. Not going to use my few hours of time to play on game modes I don't want to play. So again, the good point you make is that I'll be playing more Balders Gate and Fortnite again. It's sad there's not good games or devs anymore.

@sbchamps17 And honestly this where I go back to playing exclusively casual. Did that in 23 until they got rid of seasons so yeah. Just not doing ranked again. If casual keeps glitching, like I know it will, I will just get angry, quit the game and play a game that's not riddled with bugs and network issues.
All good reasons to just not play this game.They don't have enough cards and variety in deck builds to be doing seasons. SDS thinks their cards are as diverse as Pokemon Yu-Gi-Oh or magic. They are idiots.
Games that do a season based rotation in their competitive games modes don't come out with new games very fucking year. They just drop new cards. SDS milks it's player base like fucking crazy and it's most devout playerbase just LOVES it.
