oh, wow, I just clicked on the 1. Thanks! Yes, this should be a big red flag for SDS, hopefully someone sees it!

I agree that SDS does not need a poll, they have the all the numbers they would need to see actual percentages.
To be honest the poll is probably skewed. Who is following MLB the show streamers on twitter? That would probably be the most hardcore players, and a higher percentage of them are probably further along.
According to the web I have 90 hours invested in DD. That is not a lot of time compared to many here but it works out to about 10 hours a week. Now I don't optimize my playing time to get the most XP every session but at that many hours I only have 344K XP. So at my current pace, continuing my normal playstyle, I would need 261 hours play time to reach the first boss pack.
Divide that by 12 weeks in a Season and we get 21.7 hours needed per week to reach the 1,000,000 XP mark. Even though I am retired I am not willing to devote 3 hours a day, 7 days a week for 3 months to get one 99 card.
Now, I realize that my pace may be slow but if I have to plan my play time to get the optimal XP per hour played then it's just not worth my time.
This is the first time in a while that I can remember not reaching the first boss pack in the initial Inning/Xp program (when my interest in playing is at it's height).
We won't even discuss Collections. Since I have no desire to do every TA for every division I am not even close to any major milestone there.

It’s gotta bring up some warning signs for SDS here. Under a quarter of the votes who voted have even reached Boss 1 in the reward path, and 86% of the people who voted don’t even have 1 of the players from the Boss collection pack.
Im not even close. Im at 725k xp or around there. I know i won't make it, thats fine f'it.

On one had I want to think that the people on Twitter are lying becsuse people like to bash the game. They also want to hear dimmu complain becsuse it makes them feel justified in not liking the game. His streams are fun, but there's alpt of complaining in the comments.
On the other hand, I have all the bosses and it's alarming how many randoms in coop are still surprised to see me bring out jimmy.

X is mostly Bots and Nazis now, I wouldn’t take any poll on that platform too seriously.

To get some context … I just looked up parallel levels
- Buxton: 408995 players have him P1
- Rollins: 91460
If we assume that some of the early guys used Buxton just a little bit to P1 … approx. 1/4 of them have Rollins. Now lots of people do not have Buxton (or did not use him). That leads to my assumption, that those 86% are not out of the world … And: Dimmu has his own audience, not some crazy random X people

You have to realize that at over 250 hours played you have far more time invested than a vast majority of players.

How many got Rollins to P1 simply choosing him in BR every chance that they got?

for me, the XP grind to the 3 bosses that we can't use in 2 weeks is fine. not ideal, but whatever. the real question is, how, why would they expect us to collect these sellable cards? it's just ridiculous to think we are gonna collect so many cards that we can't use, to get a prize we can't use. absurd. I'll take my stubbs and and hope for a better collection layout.
-
@BLAISEBLAISE Personally I did it because I really wanted Willie Mays and I was able to get almost all the needed cards from grinding and some lucky free pack pulls. I plan on using him as my wildcard to start S2. Otherwise, you're right. Unless it's a card that someone really really wants, there is no point in locking in cards or spending stubs on useless cards that won't even be usable in 2 weeks.
-
@Dolenz64 Bro, nobody knows … Nobody knows who could have chosen Rollins and picked someone else … and nobody knows how many people have/could have used Buxton. It was some data that was put into context since we do not know how many people regularly play and try to reach Rollins.
If we start from 86% it is a fair point … maybe it is 90% … maybe less … maybe more … who knows -
@xxfrystealerxx word. and I'll probably get enough to get one of these guys, if I want, by the end of this season. I think I'm at 240 collected with like 30-40 sellable. so a cpl more topps now weeks and a program or cpl conquests should put me in a good position. I don't have much desire to achieve any of these bosses really though. I have feeling they will be part of a bigger collection announcement soon.
-
@Dolenz64_XBL @YOSHI24_XBL I would actually be really interested in seeing SDS metadata on this at the end of S1, because as Dolenz said they've got the actual player base numbers, and see how close or far these numbers are % wise from SDS numbers
-
@Dolenz64 you are correct sir! Many people got Rollins to P1 simply from BR. I’m also in the 86%. No boss yet. Summer is here. I spend my weekends at the pool with the lady. Not in front of the game.

You can type this stuff, and we can read it, but I can't imagine anyone is going to take this level of generalization at face. Maybe we could take a poll to see if anyone thinks your post is relevant to this topic.

@Dolenz64 I get that. I'm saying it's not right that so many people still haven't gotten to the bosses. I totally get that I play alot more than others.
Btw where did you get 250 hours from? I thought we couldn't look up people's profile anymore. Also I think im approaching 400hrs.
-
So knowing that some people have played 500+ hours, and some have played 60 hours. Just curious, but what would be an acceptable percentage of players that have got to the 1st boss pack be?
You can't just guve then away, or they would be meaningless. What number would be appropriate for this time in the season? 50%?

If I HAD to put a number on it, I'd think 55-60% of your player base would be ideal in terms of judging whether or not it needs tweaking. Anything less than that and it's likely the threshold for the rewards needs to be lowered. Right now, the only "data" we can speculate on is 2 twitter polls w its approximately 20k voters each. IF that can be used as any indication, only 23% of your player base has reached at least the 1st boss in the reward path, and 14% have hit the collection bosses..then it COULD be a clear indication of the changes that need to be made.
That being said, I'll reiterate I'd love to see SDS data on how many users actually obtained those, and what % of users DIDNT hit the 1 mil threshold for the first reward path boss

Yep I’m in the 86%. I’m close to the 1st boss but it’s crazy it’s taken this long and season 1 will be over in 2 weeks. In years past I’ve had no issue getting all the bosses. If SDS doesn’t course correct this the combo of not reaching bosses, season 2 shelving season 1 cards, and NCAA football dropping is going to put this game in a very bad way.
The game has become more and more of a crash grab as years go by. I cannot wait for NCAA to drop -- It'll give me something else to do. Maybe I'll come back to TS later and its highly unlikely. Why:
- Barely a dent in the S1 XP path despite a lot of game play
- A large number of cards are hidden behind a pay wall
- Little reward for completing tasks within TA
- By the time certain objectives are hit S1 will be over.
One of the biggest slaps in the face was seeing the 99 Story card being released while I was a few 1,000 XP points away from getting the 89 Story card...which is rewarded after getting a couple of cards in the lower/mid 90s.
I wish I could be a fly on the wall during creative team meetings. "How do we frustrate people more?" has to be a driving question the SDS asks/answers during each meeting.
