I just gave in & did the exchanges once I realized completing the conquest AND showdown gets you 8 vouchers combined which earns only 24,000 TA points in the program. Got the 6 choice packs within minutes instead of weeks
I typically don't do exchanges, but... SDS wins. I exchanged EVERYTHING I have. I'm just burned out and want to finish Season 1. I'm going to see how close I can get to the collection rewards, but I'm certainly going to have to buy more cards.
For Season 2... well... I just don't care. I don't want to start over. I'll still play, but no matter who the collection rewards will be, I probably won't be getting them. Plus, like a lot of other folks have said, I have bigger things to do this summer. This will be the first time... ever?... that I've scaled back this early.

I have a 9-5 3 boys
Make them all grind on your account! Living here ain't free kids - get on that Conquest map.

I play this game quite a bit and I still have the al east and al central to finish chapter 2. It's almost like having a part time job to try and get things done in this game.

@LIONED-33
There’s the guy I remember from last year. Flexing his 9-5 and dad of the year award along with his insane work ethic that gets him what he deserves in life. I got news for you my man. Hard work doesn’t pay off as much or as often as you think. This is a video game and being good at it or feeling you are entitled to this or that because you are good or “work harder” at it is laughable. I too work full time, in healthcare, which is more than a typical 9-5 gig. I’m married with kids and get up every single day to hit the gym before 99% of people even wake up. Then I go help people get better and recover from illness, injury, or both. That’s not me flexing to stroke my own ego. It’s just making a point that even with all that going on I don’t feel like working longer or harder at this game makes people special in any way, shape, or form. If flaunting your achievements in this game makes you feel better about your life while putting down lesser skilled or casual players in the process then that says a lot about you. At the end of the day this is a game, not real life, so please stop acting like the same rules actually apply.
-
Even if it is possible to do for the casual gamer, thanks for making it as boring as possible....the only thing offline guys like us can do is the following:
Make your line-up full of (whatever division your doing) with the past Bosses.
Play the same conquest map over and over OR Play vs CPU over and over.
Yay.....thanks SDS
I suppose you could do the same Showdown over and over also

I've never truly understood the compulsion to finish all the programs and collect all the things... I mean, it's a game, and it's supposed to be something fun to do in your off time; why not just complete the things that earn you the cards you actually want to use and let the rest just happen (it does, eventually) as you play baseball games?
Video games are supposed to be a pastime, for fun, not another job, and certainly not a source of pride because you "put in the work." That's just weird. This use of "casual" is weird, too... if you aren't "a casual," but you aren't getting paid as a professional, then what are you doing, exactly?
-
The missions are stupid. Its almost as if they dont realize that its impossible to get 2 saves in mini seasons when you're smashing the CPUby 5-6 runs regularly. I wish they just did Hits/Ks across all modes instead of splitting them up by MS/Conquest/Vs
Im not even in a rush anyway. We have no content coming til Friday and then after that, we have nothing til next Friday.
-
Yeah chapter 1 was probably the easiest with chapter 2 not that worse but chapter 3 sucks and I know most of you have lives I don't really but my doctors have only given me 6 months to live and I don't think I'll have this and my other game done before my times up
-
@GixxerRyder750 if you only score 3 runs or less in the 1st inning and you're winning, bring in a relief pitcher and keep him in. As long as he finishes the game, no matter how many runs you win by, he'll still get the save. Hope it helps
-
@LIONED-33 OMG you’re one of those guys in Madden that I hear screaming & yelling at their kids & wife to leave them alone.

@Healthy-Jew what’s your method for gaining TA progress?
If you’re doing Play vs. CPU it’s going to take much longer than other methods.
Aside from the extreme moments and showdown, which I personally don’t do, building a squad with bosses from one division in Mini Seasons is a great way to knock out repeatable missions. In a matter of a few games you can gain 10, 15, even 20k plus get a voucher every four wins.
But yes I do agree, even done as efficiently as possible, a lot of players not going to have the time to dedicate to it, and some hate grinding against the CPU and will rely solely on the online missions.
Yup, I have been playing TA mini season with a lineup of TA bosses from one division. I got NL Central, AL East done and just got fourth boss for AL Central last night.
To me this best way, getting double dip of division hits and saves along with PXP of bosses. The rewards are vouchers, so its actually triple. I will be done with TA3 by next week depending on how much of life gets in the way.
I have no complaints about TA3.

Yes.
Or if you want, you can get 2 outs in the 3rd inning and then walk batters to put yourself in a save situation. Which is the tying run on deck. So if you are up 5-0. You just need to walk the bases loaded.
If you are up by more than 5 you have to walk some runs in to close the gap to 5.
Oh I forgot obviously you have to change pitchers once it becomes a save situation. You can't get the save with the guy who allowed it to be a save situation. But that guy should get a hold which I think is more PXP.

@TripleH-4481 hard work pays off. period. Sorry you dont think that way and think that everything should be handed to you. you are flexing and you're probably not even telling the truth. Bottomline hardwork and outworking everyone around you will always pay off. BTW, i'm not dad of the year, but my kids live good. Sorry you feel you shouldnt work hard for everything. Peace.
-
@YeahBruv412 3 things, i dont play madden, i dont use a headset, i also only play when my kids are in bed, but hey please continue.
-
@arvcpa thats not a bad idea, i can give them a raise in their allowance for every stronghold they capture.
-
@yankblan not at all, we've been together for 25 years. she has no complaints.

Well with this game it used to be both rewarding and fun, even for "part time" gamers, which unfortunately that's all I am anymore with work and the real life sports I play and just life. This particular iteration, however doesn't feel rewarding at all.
-
@LIONED-33 If that’s the case then I’m sorry but you’re not being truthful…Assuming your kids go to bed at 9pm then you maybe get 2-3 hours a day to play before you yourself go to bed. There is no way you’ve grinded everything only playing 2-3 hours a day. There’s just no way.

@YeahBruv412 I too live the busy dad life and try to get 2 hours of gaming a night in when the family sleeps. It's not possible to do the grind The Show 24 wants you to do in time before seasons reset. I don't care for offline. I enjoy playing against people. If I did the grind offline for cards I would have cards but not in time for season reset and I wouldn't have gotten to play PVP like I intend.
It's simply not possible to grind this game as a casual the way you would want to. I'm not playing the show any more for an offline experience like I would on the PS2. I want to play PVP like every other game I play.
I reject the grind and just play what I want. Still sucks for collections but I guess it's something to play. -
@YeahBruv412 but there is. sorry thats what i do from 8-11 every night. I get a little more time saturday and sunday mornings, minus a couple here and there, its not hard to grind. Here is the kicker, i pick what i dont want to do and dont do it. Like i've only played 7 RS games this year as they are too long, luckily those rewards are super cheap so i've purchased the ones i wanted. i havent completed the BR Program yet, but gotten most of the way through the last 2. I've also completed all the programs, all the events to 20 wins minus this one i'm at 10, and the live series collection. I've spent no money besides the Digital Deluxe Edition. Grinding isnt hard if you prioritze what you want. I just wish i had more time for RS. Which with those games taking 45 mins on average, its just not a great use of my time.
