Why SDS hates offline players?
-
I agree, the changes to the offline missions is terrible.
-
Yes. Definitely feels like their catering to online this year. Tons of XP in the ranked and BR programs.
-
Sharing a lot of those feelings you all expressed. I was low-key looking forward to TA3 but after seeing the offline missions I'm not going to bother. They made it worse than even last year's insanity, all for cards that expire 4 weeks from today.
-
My guess is they got tired of people complaining there was nothing to do so instead of adding more they simply slowed down the progress
-
I'm curious to know if online players spend more money. Madden noticed that and everything shifted towards those players. I'm now two years clean from playing Madden.
If this continues, this could be my last year of the Show
-
We have 27 days left to use these TA3 cards These cards are no sell. With limited time left you would think SDS would make it easier to acquire these cards. Instead they made it harder. Why?
-
Yeah, I'm confused about SDS logic here. They are gonna run fans off with this bull [censored].
-
Seems really poorly thought out, considering there is only 4 weeks to complete TA 3, before it's locked off to everything but Live series, Core cards and Wild Card slots. So, anything that doesn't get done in time will be a slow drip, made even harder by the fact that you can't do the individual missions with cards you don't have.
Also, having 5 moments was a nice way to get a feel for what cards you wanted to pick first.
And since I'm complaining, the unlockables packs stink. TA 1, a uniform, TA 2, an icon, TA 3 a sound. Wow. Really can't create anything extra? Just take the 3 things we'd get in a single pack and split them up? Low effort. -

Low effort.Yeah they should really just be throwing these cards at us, it is going to take probably 2-3 weeks of grinding for a lot of people, to hopefully get to their first S1 collection card, and then it's S2 and it starts all over. I honestly don't think anyone is going to be playing this game by then. We have now had like half of a year's worth of Team Affinity grinding to do and we're going to have to do it all again and start over with nothing left but a few core cards and one wild card
-
Lol they hate us all bro but I completely get what you're saying

Offline DD just sucks this year. And I'm one of those people who post 10/10 positive posts about this game and always defends it.
Getting rid of the Topps Now and Lightning series as they were in previous years really took the sails off the offline DD grind. The new weekly program I can finish in an hour and the Lightning reward is just like any ordinary reward. Unlike in previous years where you had to grind and play specific players in the lightning program.
Also this year, the game doesn't make you learn about the new weekly topps now players. You can just play with week 1 or week 2 guys and never have to change your lineup to use the new guys. I know you can do it but I liked how they made you do it in previous years.
But ya, this year not sure what's going on with DD for offline. The entire mode has been underwhelming this year. I also finished up the TA1 and TA2 but really not looking forward to TA3. I'm at a point in the game where I'm not even looking forward to the Friday updates anymore.

The changes to TA single-player missions are very annoying. It is almost like SDS saw that people were using play vs. cpu games to advance single-player pitching missions faster, so they took that avenue away. Why penalize players for reducing the grind to obtain no-sell cards that are only useful for a month? Why do they want to make the game so tedious?

Did SDS forget NCAA FB is coming back this year in July? When that game is out MLBTS24 will be collecting dust for me for 2-3 months. If it was like previous years w the programs I would play both. But if it continues like this, probably going to play NCAA all the time.

I'm really disappointed with Single player missions in TA3. They divided missions into separated offline modes, but mostly they nerfed xp from them into oblivion...
We now get not even 50% of xp compared to TA2. This is just not fair, when we have much less time to enjoy these cards. Also Player exchanges nerfed a lot, price was doubled for the same amount of xp...
And why the hell we can't have at least five moments for each division?
I was looking forward today, but only feeling now is disappointment, poor job SDS, I don't think I will make it even into Season 2 this year
I was coming to the forums to post this same thing. I'm so disappointed that it's so much more of a grind for offline players.
-
The problem I’m seeing is it looks like it will take about a week or two for a casual
Player to get these done, by then it’s like you get to play 99s for a week and then have to build up again from scratch -
Ugh, I can’t even defend SDS anymore. This TA is a massive monstrous L.
-
This is it, my last year. I don’t even care now, barely playing. So disappointing.

Unfortunately it’s because they want us to play a certain way. Which is absolutely asinine. We purchased the game, provided it’s not nefarious, we should be able to earn and play any way we want.
I’ll happily play their way…if they make the game a completely free-to-play platform style /s
This whole release so far has had zero positive optics. No matter which way you look at it, it’s a bad look.

Right now this is going down as the worst DD in the franchise's history. I don't think they'll change things in the upcoming months.
