@blitz77tw it's also not helpful that SDS focuses on pushing paid content instead of fixing their game. Why are you putting the onus on the victim (paid $80) and not the victimizer (SDS)?
I cannot win with some of you players -- IF i say too much bad I am a hater but when I step back and say let's see if they listen to the feedback or more patience then I get roasted.
My bottom line with this game is this and only going to state this ONE time cause I think I am been pretty consistent with my posts on this game for the most part and it's this :
SDS has made some poor decisions with this years game starting with 70 to 80% of the content involving the shop. Then we have and this is where I will admit I was wrong at least in terms of patience to see how it played out and that was the XP cap. As it turns out the CAP is not the problem it's the fact they nerfed XP by 50% and that is the issue and this is something that I realized going from the norm XP to Double XP and then returning back to normal.
There are more issues but in the end I decided while I might still be critical at times I was going to go from destroying them every day or two and decided maybe I should chill and see if they listen and revert / make up for this garbage in season 2. If I do not see a change then I plan on giving SDS both barrels of my wrath but I really hope they change cause I love this game. I hope this clears things up and if it does not then I am not sure what to say accept -- chill out until season 2.
I agree with you completely. Abd as far as previous post, I think a lot of us have given solutions, we just know they will be falling on deaf ears.
In my opinion 2 easiest fixes to content this year are: more specialty packs in programs. They can keep putting out these packs, but I want to see all of them showing up as either hidden rewards in conquest or part of program paths. As it stands right now it's a bad look that so many cards can only be purchased. And second would be moving to a weekly xp cap. But honestly it looks like putting out more xp programs along with more double xp weekends will likely allow for most of us to get to the end by the time the season is up. Which is clearly their intent. To have us unlocking bosses toward end of season.
So it's very easy to satisfy me, they can keep putting out a ton of packs for the big spenders to buy, but make em a bit more accessible for free. We don't need every card to be free, but it's very stingy the way they are this year.

@nflman2033
Man, I'm honestly kinda over the downgraded XP system this year. I'm putting in the same game time I do every year, except this year I'm not being rewarded for it. S2 is going to make or break this game, and that's just my own opinion. Any other year I put this amount of time in and I get one or two of the bosses...this year...not at all. Not even gonna sniff the first boss...
IF they are smart enough to revert back to previous year's in-game XP, that would likely go a long way in keeping people around. Do this, and put a few of those program packs in the reward path of the program themselves...those two things would go a long long way with the community

This is exactly how I feel. We're about 4 weeks away from the end of Season 1, and I've been playing a lot. I'm weeks away from getting to the first boss pack. Once I get it, I can use it for a few weeks? Ugh. Plus, doing the math, I still think I will have to buy a bunch of cards to get to the collection rewards.
As of now, I'll do the best I can to see where I end up on Season 1. Then I'll probably go back to RTTS to keep "warm" for the rest of the cycle. I just don't have it in me any more. I started DD in May 2020, and I'm just burned out. This game cycle just pushed me over the edge.

You need to layoff the sds weed man. Content this year has been mosty [censored].
I think he is half right. Content has been good. It is just the way you have to go about getting the best of it, packs, that really sucks lol.
Uh, what? "Content" to almost everyone refers not just to the cards, but to the delivery methods for getting those cards.
-
Can we all just admit that DD is basically a drug addiction simulator? We're all bitching on here about not getting the same high from the hits while the supplier is getting stingier and stingier with the good stuff to incentivize us to pay more and more for it.
I really do thank SDS for breaking my habit. I'm really enjoying Madden franchise again. The Lions are such a great team to start with -- Gibbs, Branch, Laporta, Sewell, St. Brown, Hutch, a few others -- so many great young studs to develop. Resigning day hurts, though...

@blitz77tw I understand what you're saying. I love the game too. If I didn't I wouldn't still play it AND [censored] about it. I would just [censored] off and never give it a chance again.
They do not DESERVE any form of praise for anything in the current state of the game. It's not about you "winning" something over on me or with me. If your employee is [censored] up at work that costs your company money but he occasionally sends an email out on time you don't say "gee that's a great email! Keep up the good work!" As he breaks every [censored] thing in your office. That's called enabling. You're being an enabler when you praise them for NOT fixing the problem. I don't give two shits about you saying something I agree with. It's the fact you're on with their [censored] content drops that are literally ONLY to make a profit off of the whales and simps. They don't care to fix their broken [censored] game because dumbasses pay them anyways.
It's like Chinese mobile game devs run SDS. [censored], mobile baseball games are probably better! -

I understand your feelings I really do. I also understand SDS standpoint on not wanting boosters to get the bosses too soon. While I personally don't care what boosters do since I don't play other people in DD, I at least see a purpose for what they are doing and I actually do see them fast tracking most every one to get there by the end. I am way more upset with not getting enough free special packs. These free packs in the past are a big part of helping market prices get from being out of control.
I actually have hope they will start putting more of these in upcoming programs, probably for sure in the season 2 xp program. Of course it would not surprise me either way. But I would really be surprised if they do anything about XP, I think they believe XP is working the way it is intended.

Everyone bitches about it not being as good as it used to be, more expensive, worse quality and customer service -- and they're printing money and couldn't care less. People in Teslas buying $15 olive oil lattes and teenage girls filling up their Stanleys with $12 acai refreshers...

@sbchamps17 being negative and being realistic usually come hand in hand. The attitude of be happy with what we have is a loser mentality. Nothing gets better that way.
yeah as a consumer you're not allowed to have fun cause we arent being spoiled anymore, only negative feedback and make sure you post about foul balls, and how every one of your good swings are outs and opp's bad swings are hits.

Oh I agree 100% it's working the way they intended...for the hardcore grinders. It's slowed them down a bit...but it's hurt the majority of the player base that doesn't grind like that. I guess SDS thought it was better to punish the many to slow down the few.

Yes, but if they combat it by dropping programs with big XP amounts at the end of the season, it may be ok. I was upset with it when I was at 300k thinking I wouldn't make it. Now I am like 875k, I think I will. So I am holding off on my final judgment of XP this season until its over and we hear from the people who didn't make it to a boss.

Look at you, being all logical and making sense and being fair. GTFOH with that nonsense /s
Nah that's probably the best way to go about it. I'm gonna do my best to keep that mindset, just tough because I do feel rather disappointed in this year's iteration

Hey, it took me a bit to come to that conclusion. I was very unhappy at first, still am for the most part, but I do see a path for righting the ship, but nothing can be done on our part other than give our feedback and wait and see.

@chucky97___ cry, loser. You're a victim when you buy a product that you were told was one think but when you get it it's absolutely NOT what you paid for. You were scammed. Just cause you suck em off while ignoring it and they give you a little treat for you enjoy from time to time doesn't mean they are doing a good job as developers. Stop the simping or at least [censored] off to enjoy your SDS gurgling elsewhere. It is all proving my point as you keyboard warrior for these pigs running the Show.
-
@chucky97___ how much they pay you to post on the forums? I might actually do that too if it's good enough. I mean I don't basement dwell under my parents bedroom like you can but I might be able to add time to this forum if a paycheck is involved.
-
@chucky97___ Did you feel like a big man typing that? You telling me your parents don't make you angry when they don't give you ketchup to dip your dino nuggies in for supper? Dude, stubbing my toe makes me angry. I'm allowed to get angry at a video game.

no you're allowed to be angry, but you are treating this game like it is life or death. It's not that deep bud.
