Best captains.

I think most people would agree Santana is probably the best captain. I bought him and David Ortiz. Using some of the players that benefit from the Ortiz boost in mini seasons is pretty fun. Grady Sizemore has such a great swing and with the boost he’s impressive. Other guys like Jason Bay,Michael Young, Rich Aurulia,David Wright,etc are fun too. Not saying they are god squad tier but just to mix things up and have fun. All of these captains will be even better when we get some new players. Who are you all using?

I’m running a Yankees TT so I’m using Mattingly & Ford…I’ll tell you what - This combo makes average players good and good players great!

@IrishFist412 I’m not a Yankees fan but I almost I almost picked the Yankees captains because they always have so many elite players every year. I can imagine how good that team could be.

I liked that Santana card's boosts, but I just can't play with Santana (and his poor performance negated the boosts, in my opinion, but that's a me thing).
I'm really enjoying the Seattle captains giving contact and power boosts to Clase, Cameron, and Jr in the outfield. I can live with Segura at second because high Contact and Vision are imperative, in my experience, anyway, as a Timing/Analog player. Graveman and Munoz are pretty decent, boosted, and though Captain Gonzalez isn't a hard thrower, he has two pitches that have a PAR no bigger than the baseball itself because of his ridiculous BB/9 (and the others are small), so he can essentially put the ball where he wants it.

I am running a Phillies theme team it's a ton of fun. I can't wait to get Rollins but even Live series Trea is godly With the boosts And parallels.

Currently using Buxton L3 along with Kersh L2... RHPs Degrom and Dibble fitting the Kersh Cap helps, and I am still able have 4-5 right-handed hitters in the lineup. This combo makes Belli and Nolan Jones 99s... and gives Donaldson, Randy, Leiter, etc. better H/9s.
The Yanks and Dodgers are also good... This Captain aspect was an excellent addition last year (thank you Jeter) and with their continued tweaks, its going to be fun using more of these Cap combos going forward.

Buxton T3 and Kersh T2 is what I am running as well. I am probably 1 ranked game away from unlocking Belli
