If you play in Shields Woods in this game kick rocks

@Teak2112 At least Coors is a real park lol
-
I must be missing something- what makes this park so bad? Really close outfield walls?

I think it is just mx elevation.
I have never understood the hate. Yes, maybe max elevation helps a few people luck into a HR or two. But it does not swing the pendulum that far. A good player should be able to hit even more home runs and still beat them.

I'm going to throw this out there and everyone can come to their own conclusions.
I'm a below average hitter online. If I score 2 runs a game; I'm happy.
I played someone, at SW, that had a 25-5 RS record and had a 10-0 Flawless banner.
I won 7-5. 6 of my 7 runs came on homeruns.
-
I’ve hit 3 homeruns over 510 feet on Laughing Mountain, longest was 523 with Jazz.
-
@xxfrystealerxx It is closer walls and max elevation for sure.

@Dolenz Fine, so SDS should let us make custom stadiums with OF walls behind 10 feet behind second base since the only thing that matters is that good players will beat bad players … It is completely fine, that 80 mph off-pci-HRs happen a lot at those stadiums … I do not get the ignorance on this
I will put it in other words: I am completely fine with every loss (and I lose a lot), but it is not fine if 80 mps HRs waste my time playing a baseball video (sim) gameBut @x814xmafia_MLBTS said it perfectly in other words

@chucky97___ I am with you if we were playing The Bigs … This is a baseball sim. We have data to simulate specific things … to make pitcher X nearly unhittable and hitter Y the greatest of them all … and put it in the trash bin by putting in a trash field.
If a baseball sim company would like to have chaos, they should program a specific kind of way to have chaos. And this should not be any kind of ranked mode …
Having fun and playing a baseball sim video game can go hand in hand … I have fun, most of the time … until I play at shield woods and having to watch a 80 mph off-pci-HR (even when I hit them). That is simply a disgrace to this beautiful gameBut … I respect that you have fun. Contrary to the opinion of some weird people in here I do not work at SDS, so you have nothing to fear … it is only my opinion
a baseball sim should never co exist in head 2 head play, it should always be input based.

80 mph homers happen in real life. look at yankee stadium.
-
@chucky97___ That is what I meant … But if I take your theory farther and elevation should not factor in at all … I like different stadiums, that is kinda realistic (maybe realistic is a better word). Shield Woods is not
-
@chucky97___ Come on … you know that you miss the point. Everybody knows that shield woods has them all over every game (Yankee Stadium does not)
-
Anyways … I will gladly join in bashing these bs stadiums … they put them in again this year, so there is a high probability that nothing will change … and that is simply a disgrace to this beautiful game … over and out, waiting for the next one

Max elevation stadiums are for dudes who revel in the artificially inflated home run distances that make them feel like they've accomplished something. You don't need to play in this stadium if you're a good player and hitter.
