Bad swings for hits
-
I was actually watching that when it happened so definitely bad hits occur

@BJDUBBYAH
Yes, bloops happen. It’s baseball. I get it. I’m talking as a general percentage of total hits throughout a game though. It seems beyond realistic in DD.

I think the foul balls are more of an issue for me personally. After a ranked game today, I checked the batter analysis because I thought my opponent had an absurd amount of foul balls. Well, I was wrong, I had an absurd amount of foul balls. 42 to their 26. This was a great game other wise, but I honestly felt bad afterwards.

What I noticed is that if you’re getting fluked and scammed early, the game evens out later and you usually end up getting rewarded the same as the opponent.
In very few ocasions it scams only one player and well, [censored] happens.

Game isn’t coded very well
-
@chuckuluck its the same, its the absolute same as its always been.
-
@chucky97___ … and nobody gets it, because we only remember as far as 23, when we had max fielders/pitchers from the beginning.
Additionally (for me), pinpoint is harder. I have way more bad input and getting way more hits against me (some being flukes against my bad fielders)

The reason bloop singles happen so much in DD is because most people play with auto shift turned on. When they do this it brings the infield way in when there’s a runner on 3rd with less than 2 outs. Thus there is nobody in position to make the play.
-
For years this has been the case. Patience and good timing are not rewarded. Way too much well timed contact make outs and way too many bad swings at bad pitches make hits that defy physics. It's by design in the RNG so casual gamers have a chance, stay interested, and hopefully buy stubs. At least that's my belief.
-
@YOSHI24 bloop singles happen because of two reasons
-
many have bad input lag
-
people have an unrelenting will to pitch inside nonstop knowing they will be late, late and jammed on a guy with power equal what fellas?
-
-
@chuckuluck, I think this is true of everything. In games like this, everything is exaggerated, be they weak contact hits, diving plays, balls robbed over the wall... HRs are hit with far greater frequency and have a far more deleterious effect on gameplay; this bothers me much more than bloop hits.

@Ledfoot_19 I tend to lean this way as well. It’s really one of the only explanations that makes sense for SDS. They don’t want the casuals never winning and ultimately putting the game down for good. Great point.
-
I need to archive this post just so I can be reminded of the SDS simps and whales that are 100% responsible for keeping this game alive and the devs paid. It's absolutely stunning to see their braindead [censored] kissing comments. I kind of enjoy it really.....

@AdeptOfMemory it’s always the same people too. It’s hilarious.
