Need Advice on Hitting

I can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong. I created a new player and didn’t get a single hit in his first 31 at bats. Flyouts right to the fielders, line drives right at the infielders and I believe i have set a new record for hitting fouls. All the indicators are telling me good contact but I’m not getting any results. Any advice?

That's what I play on but I use timing hitting because I don't do zone hitting on my Nintendo switch, try timing or directional see if that works for you
