Stuck in a moment….and you can’t get out of it
-
For the Rooker Monent, I use directional hitting and push my left stick straight up to get “lift” on the hit. When I did this, Rooker literally could not hit a thing. I’m mean struck out every time.
Eventually, I stopped using the left stuck up technique and he hit one out soon afterwards.
When I got to Correa, I didn’t use the left stick and he hit a homer after about 10 tries.
Very weird. Left stick up and directional hitting was NOT working so well last night.
I noticed that too, the up direction and the up and in direction were not working at all. I was striking out way early or way late. It's almost like SDS took that out of the equation. Normal swings was getting me a [censored] ton of singles and equal amounts of sac flies with a smattering of doubles. I finally got my homerun by using the power swing, I was a shade early on a fastball that was up and in.

Dang, can't say cr@p. Out of all the indecent stuff in the vault they are worried about the word cr@p.
-
But they didn't censor dang. Interesting. Sorry for getting off topic.
-
Yeah that was the word I used earlier that got censored. I'm kind of insulted because it makes it look like I used a harsher word, which I didn't.

Oh well -

I've noticed ( been a year or two now) that if you hold the direction the whole time, you'll get pitches that are near impossible to hit in that direction, but if you wait until he starts his delivery, you'll get some that you can hit.
The CPU knows your inputs and counters them, and it shouldn't. It's a guessing game and it shouldn't " know" what you are trying to do. but it does -
@drbear100_psn I’m glad I wasn’t alone in thinking that. Prior to doing all the Moments, I finished up a WBC mini season. The 3-game tourney. I play same teams each time, facing GB, China and then Mexico in the finals.
Usually, I win each game 4-6 runs to zero on Veteran. Last night, directional and up sticking on practically every batter, I beat GB 1-0 in extra innings. China was 5-3 in extra innings and Mexico was 1-0. It seemed like “something” was up last night all way around. -
Finally passed Correa, took over 100 tries, probably hit the most empty .350 you can possibly hit for those 100 AB’s with zero power. Makes me never want to use the card.

It took me more than 20 minutes to finish the Carlos Correa cornerstone homerun moment.
-
Funny how it all works out, took less time for me to do the Correa and Rooker moments than to do the Wiemer get on base twice moment.
-
I can't wait to try the Correa Moment later when I get home!
