SDS's Real Power Creep Strategy

Release pack-only cards that are slightly or significantly better than the free reward cards from programs. Gatekeep stubs and nerf xp at the same time.
They can and will do this all year, until 99's are the free rewards. Or until the outcry is so loud -- or the metrics so bad -- that it's more profitable for them to abandon it.
It's disgusting.
I hope this year does real, long-term damage to SDS's reputation.
For me, they always stood apart from EA and 2K for at least seeming to try to balance respect for their customers with predatory monetization.

Just stop playing if you are unhappy. It's not that hard. I quit playing madden the past two iterations within 6-8 weeks because I was unhappy with the game, content, etc. I didn't go on forums, reddits, and discord to cry about it. I let my time and wallet do the talking. I will not he purchasing it this year either. ANDDDD given the trending direction of SDS I will likely not purchase it next year (or maybe just to play online rated), voting with what actually matters - my wallet and time. Our crying does nothing. MY wallet and time are meaningless to them at an individual level but at least I feel better about myself not giving them either.
If you are unhappy then just stop engaging. THAT is the only thing that will get their attention but we know that 99% of the people whining the past two weeks will gobble up the what they throw down on Friday as fast as they can and be back to crying next week about there being no content, lack of programs, and pack, packs, packs.

You know, I teach my high schoolers how easy it is to avoid extreme language -- all/none, always/never -- and how important it is to try to avoid straw-man arguments. I can forward you that material if you'd like.
In the meantime, since I trash the game on several heads regularly AND have stated on the forums that several TA1 cards and other free cards are excellent...
...YOU ARE WRONG.
But continue doing what you do. It's so easy to rebut.

endless cycle, SDS does a content drop, people speed run the content drop, finsih way to early, then have nothing to do and instead of looking at the mirror they start complaining, this game is in a bad spot, but If SDS made ranked programs, br programs, events shorter the casual fan then complains, to long and grinders complain, SDS truly cant win anymore. People are blaming sds for greed when I think as gamers we need to take a step back and look in the mirror. Were complaining about gettiing 30 free cards tomorrow just because theres 2 95's in the shop. In what world should free cards be better than pack cards, if the pack cards were worse then people would clown sds for bad shop cards. There is no win.

What I stated is 100 percent true, friday is going to be a mass load of content, people are gonna fly through it, fly through ranked/br way faster then intended. I’m glad you agree that players complaining about pulling diamonds is irrational.

The bigger problem they have no problem dropping new packs once or twice a week which is our choice to purchase. But we are lucky if we can get decent content even once a week. The storylines they dropped last week took maybe 10 minutes each to finish. Stubs everyone is looking to flip and yes for some people your not making them like you once were. Lack of content like Showdowns and conquest maps and yeah TA2 is tomorrow but it is making harder to engage with this game.
