Super Excited

I just unlocked Fotf Matt Olson and was super excited. I then played an event game and then a ranked season game with him in the lineup. Now I’m sad again. It’s not Matt’s fault. It’s just that I enjoy unlocking these new cards, but then you have to go into events or ranked seasons to play with them, and that’s always disappointing. Now you know.

Don't give up on him yet.
I am willing to bet that you were so excited to unleash your new toy that you were pressing and that you swung at stuff you would never swing at.
It happens to all of us, give it 20 to 30 ABs and that anxiousness will subside.
It happens to me all the time, I got Sandberg, swung at everything because I was anxious to use him and hit like .200 with him over the first 5 to 10 games. I calmed down, worked counts, punished mistakes and now he is north of .425 for me.
Be selective and remember your excitement for having a new card is a "Oh, cr@p" on the other side. Take bad pitches and punish mistakes. -
Judging by how good his gold is... his fotf should be a beast.
