What are we even supposed to grind offline now?
-
As an online h2h competitive gamer, I hate offline grinding. But In order to do collections and to get the most competitive cards, I shut my mouth and suffer through these time wasting offline grinds.
Once I'm finished grinding all the conquest maps and programs, I move on to BR, events, and then online ranked. Which is what I prefer to play.My suggestion to u is why not take your talents to online and grind the BR program, Events, and ranked?

I'm trying to finish my last TA division, the AL Central right now, and last night was thinking: 'slow down, there's not much left as an offliner.' I never said that before. I always find things to do, but things feel bare atm.
I'll just go back to NHL, which I abandoned, when early access dropped!
Will we still get Topps Now Moments, at least? -

@Shauwn I do. I'm a 50/50 player. That being said, it IS dumb to reward online players more than offline players.
Having to force yourself to play a conquest map or a showdown where you will 100% win eventually is one thing. Having to go online and get spanked time and time again becasue you aren't good is another. Gotta remember there are children and old people playing the game as well. Not everyone is a tryhard.
If you can't see the difference then idk what to tell you.
Edit: all that being said, I do believe there are people who are irrationally scared of online play.

Someone like me, 50 hours a week at work, father of two special needs kids and care taker to a disabled wife, cannot start a game that cannot be paused for several minutes to hours.
Online play isn’t an option for me so I don’t bother.
I’d like to not be “punished” (in terms of cards or XP) because of it.
I have the opposite problem. I play so little I never hit the CAP I’d just like more programs that larger XP totals.
Either way I keep playing till it’s no longer fun, as of now it’s still fun.

Bro I do play both. There's days where I just don't feel like sweating and dealing with the online BS and just want to mindlessly grind offline. Right now, there's no offline content that feels worthwhile to grind. It's basically play online or not at all.

The only thing we can hope is that once people start reaching the bosses, at about the halfway mark of the current season, that they will be a little more generous with the XP rewards since the genie will already be out of the bottle.
We'll see how it works out though.

I hear everyone's opinion and arguments regarding lack of overall offline and online content. I'm finished with every offline content available, and I'm about to hit max BR points in my next run.
My suggestions aren't meant to start an argument. This game is meant to be played however you want to play. What would be cool is if SDS added more offline/online content such as offline events, and maybe online tournaments. Just a thought.

@suzypuff14 Better questions is what is there to grind for in this game period?
Ranked rewards are worth like 7K and 17K, and they get you 0.3% of the way to one of the 99 collection legends cards that will expire a few days after you unlock them.
THey stunt our XP and rewards everywhere, live series was killed....they've watered down everything in the game.

Wait for TA2. Grind that out in a week then wait for TA3. Then realize there is no point in logging in and find something better to do and hope for big turnover at SDS before next years game is released.
The rewards aren’t even worth grinding for because the packs are literally a joke.
The pro sds guys started with “hold on it’s only been a week”. Now it’s “hold on it’s only been 3 weeks”. In 3 more weeks they gonna say “hold on it’s on been a month and a half?”
Sony should be embarrassed their studio released this game.
Sony should be pretty embarrassed their studio put this game out.

You should be embarassed for posting this.
Stop with the absurd overreactions people. You are not helping things. You are just adding noise to drown out actually valid complaints and good suggestions, of which there are some in this thread.

Teak -- your a fanboy we get it enough of kissing there BEEP -- your not going to get more diamonds for doing it.
They got our money they only care when they want to care other then that it's about the almighty buck -- PERIOD

Players last year: to many 99s and the grind is to long.
Players this year: cards are mid and there is nothing to grind.
-
@blitz77tw it is rather amusing seeing them react this way. It's like they just can't except it
-
Players this years: who the heck asked x814xmafia to speak for us?
-
If you think Im a fanboy you arent paying attention, but you people are the reverse of fanboys: people that will always find something to complain about, especially before all the information is even known.
I want to see the game improved. Overreactions don't help that.

You may be right but I have also preached some patience but it gets harder and harder to do when they mess over gamers without a word. Did they mention the Mini Seasons thing in the stream even in a passing way -- NOPE
I am sorry Teak I might be wrong about you but I am annoyed and players making excuses for SDS just sets me off a little.

@x814xmafia
Before last year, the content was the brightest aspect of this game. From what I remember, most of the complaints were about gameplay, not content. Their previous "innings" content format worked fine and was liked by most of the community.... It is unfortunate that they got away from that format. -

Generally companies dont comment on bugs that aren't widely known or else people will rush to exploit it. I noticed day 1 that the missions werent repeatable and only learned a day or two ago that they actually were.
The bigger problem to me was that it was in the game in the first place. Clearly SDS cant handle the yearly cycle as it is now. Things like this bug, the return of 2 way bug, the current real 99 bug, whatever caused the first patch attempt to fail so spectacularly. Thats a lot of incompetence on things didnt really hcange all that much.
As for the xp cap...I'm fine with less ways to earn it if I am still hitting the wheel at roughly the same time left in season with the same effort. Remains to be seen if the balance is right. And the xp cap should be at least partially cumulative for the people (not me) who can only play a few days a week.
I feel the content so far has been too light, and there hasnt been enough ways to earn choice packs so far. The season award content drop needs to be significant.
-
@biscodisco This is where I am. Literally no way of playing the game seems like a worthwhile return on investment for the time required. You can't even finish the ranked program with just innings anymore. They took out the three team conquest map that's been in the last two years. The daily XP cap is less than the gap between rewards, and MANY of the rewards are utterly pointless (gee, I really want to spend two days grinding for an icon or a banner; thanks guys). I (mostly) enjoy playing the game, but the motivation to do so simply isn't there.
