Co Op Freeze Offs... SDS any advise how to avoid ?

So the freeze offs in co op are outrageous right now if you get a full game or 2 in every night you are lucky... Is there anything we can do like skipping scenes anything that will limit the amount of them ?? It's just crazy at this point and I don't understand how this has been a thing for years
