CPU Stealing

In most versions of The Show I play a CF and usually it will put me at Second when needed. In this version I absolutely cannot get to the base when the CPU steals. I stop dead in my tracks and the catcher throws to me even if I'm a foot away from the bag. This mechanic is broken as hell.

This has been a gameplay issue for years. There are other threads noticing the same thing. So maybe next year they will focus on playing the infield basics.

As a SS, I can get there, but just barely. I have to make the move the second the bag is highlighted with the white circle. Many times I just end up standing there and the catcher throws me the ball while I'm in my original position. A first for me this year... the catcher threw the ball over my head, while I was standing in my original position, into LF and the runner advanced to 3rd.

I have had the same problem. In previous games you would get arrows telling you to go to 2B. But this year it is just a white circle on the bag. I am watching for the ball to be hit to me so sometimes I don't even see the white circle.

I opened a ticket on this and year after year they don’t fix it

the reason your player stops could be because once the catcher throws, they may be throwing to you vs "leading" you to the bag. so you wouldn't want to run past it?

I usually have the mind set that if their is a runner on first and the situation calls that i will be covering the bag, i just assume it's a steal and start towards second the minute i the pitcher move. (playing as SS) I usually get to the base on time, but i always get drafted to a team with a catcher that has a noodle arm, so they never throw anyone out anyways.
