Going after Seattle is the move first not Minnesota or Colorado it is just as easy if not easier this year I played on veteran and I don’t think I’ve ever finished it faster than this year
-
I finished it a few days ago. I did Colorado then Seattle, worked my way down then east.
-
@samguenther1987 I started this year like I usually do - Colorado then up to the Northwest. This year, I did have to fend off a very aggressive Minnesota. Besides that, business as usual for me.
-
Thank you so much everyone, now i'm actually getting somewhere.

What helps with Minn, or any other team,is once they get two 'armies' in a hexagon, near your border of Colorado, or any stronghold you own, put one extra 'army' in your hexagon they they have in their's.
Ex: if they have two, have at least three in yours. I've noticed the the cpu very rarely will attack one of your hexagons unless they have ay least two extra 'armies' than you.

I go straight to col, after taking I head all the way to the bottom west of tex and hou, then west and up past ari all the way to the top then all the way to min and back to my stronghold( all empty spaces) athis point I have 4 fans in my stronghold(sooner if kc or min threatens earlier) then fill in the outlined area, takes about 10 turns and I dont worry about losing territories just the strongholds.by the time I'm done or done enough im 20+ reinforce per turn. take min/kc if they are pushing otherwise go to Seattle then take the whole West Coast ending in Texas, then starting back at original go for min and progress to surrounding from there, don't worry about territories just straight to the strongholds. by this point you are pretty much unstoppable.
-
I wanted ortiz so i went straight east it did nake it harder towards the end because the cpu got alot of the free spaces off the start but an extra 4-5 turns eho cares theres no missions counting turns on that map
-
I'm over half done. Just started today. I had to block a lot more this year than previous years. First, I made a big circle but didn't attack at all. Second, went up and to the left, still without attacking. Third, started attacking, but never directly next to their base. When I was getting enough reinforcements to attack a stronghold on rookie, I started with CO, KC, CHC, MN, MIL, then to the right to TOR and BOS. All the while blocking any fans of 3 or more that were next to my area. You only need one less than their fan number to make it so they won't attack your area. For example their 3 will not attack your 2. 4/3, 5/4, etc.

I have found the opposite. I am about 3/4 through the map and the CPU has seemed far less aggressive so far. In fact so far not a single team has had their stronghold conquered by another CPU team yet.

Wow! I've battled Atlanta 4 times, SD 3, and TOR 3. Plus a couple twice. I've noticed them being more aggressive towards my spots than previous years too. Now I'm jealous. I prefer to play all the teams I can.
-
Good idea the first few turns to put three in your original strong hold to avoid defending. I normally go Colorado and Arizona and work my way up west coast.
-
I started it yesterday. Finished it today. Probly the fastest I’ve ever completed it.

Yah once i took the advise of doing Seattle first it became quite easy, only 8 more teams to go now.

This map should be used way more than once a year. Its the best conquest map as it often takes on a life of its own.
Maybe they could add some repeatable rewards other than the 20 packs (mini seasons far more effective for pack grinding anyway). Taking out a full division can give you a TA voucher for example, so 6 vouchers per clear. Can add challenge missions like take out the NL east by x turn. Lots of ideas.
-
They took out turn based missions for a reason in that map, turn base missions are a PIA and should NOT be in the US conquest map
-
Finished it yesterday. Just keep bumping up your "wall" to 3 or 4 and put a second wall behind it of 3-4 and the cpu will kind of eat itself. I went west and the east cost was taken over by the Blue Jays but by the time I got there I was reloading with 50-60 so just munched through it like Pac-Man
-
its so easy. you can literally just avoid playing any games until you are stacked across the board. just keep spreading and make sure the cpu never has a +2 gap next to you anywhere. took me about 45 minutes to take all the territories just leaving the games to be played later.
the rewards for playing all the games are kinda junk so i may just leave it be. the packs awarded for taking all the empty space was nice htough.
-
I’m about halfway thru while playing on all star/Hall of fame and i went Colorado to Seattle then south from there. When i complete the conquest it will be my quickest ever. Hope this helps!

Just finished it for the first time this year and got rewarded big time, 3 diamonds, Tatis, Michael Harris, Jose Ramirez (3rd time in 2 days)
I shouldn't have even complained about this map, again though thank you to all that helped.

Congrats! My pack luck other than one day last week when I was on a small hit streak has been terrible. I haven't pulled one diamond on the packs from the USA map and I only have a few strongholds left. Hopefully the luck changes today
