Battle Royale Warmup Freeze

Currently 8-0 in BR. Matched up and loaded into the game, just for the game to get stuck before it even starts with the pitcher warming up and throwing infinite pitches, and it says "Waiting for (Opponent Username)" I am not leaving this game when I am on the verge of going flawless. Anything I can do?

Got in contact with my opponent. He closed his game and turned off his console and I am still stuck in the freeze off. Wtf do i do

Depends if you believe him and if you want to wait it out.

he sent me proof. Everything is completely closed for him and he turned off the game. He was only 1-0 so he was fine with losing.

I guess I will leave it on overnight but if it stays like this I will have no idea what to do

I find it hard, unless nobody is playing, that a person who is 1-0 would match up with someone who is 8-0.
What proof did he send? I can take a screenshot of my dashboard and send it to someone and still be playing the game?
Unless he sent a screenshot showing that the game ended; I wouldn't trust him. Only way to know that your opponent left a freeze off us if the game actually ends.

On Switch it says if a game is still open on the dashboard, and he sent me a picture with it closed and his internet off.

It’s a glitch you won’t get credit for a win or a loss

Yup - had this happen and had to completely power off. No loss registered.
