Best hitting advice

What helped me, which I'll switch back and forth when I'm struggling (also depends on the pitcher and velo) is when the pitcher begins to windup I'll lift my pci near the top of the strike zone, and sometimes even a little bit away from my hitter and react from there. For some reason, at least for me, this helps with my accuracy of lining up my pci

I find how my opponent likes to pitch, Low offspeed high fastballs, behind in the account throws FB or off speed. Most players will have some type of sequence. If a player pitches low most of the time, They seem to always get back to that spot. If you are hitting it even if you are making outs they will pitch a little higher be ready for that. Players I have played against like to throw low inside and middle inside to my lefties. My RH get the sliders away and FB inside. I will set my pci low and adjust most of the time. If you can think of what your opponent is throwing based on how they are pitching then it is up to you with the timing. For Me it is my timing. I can get the PCI to the location but the timing is the hard part. My opponent was pitching low last night in a RS game with Oswalt and I kept sitting on, eventually I time one up perfect/perfect with Bregman for a No Doubt HR. McMovey rakes in this game. I am not a good hitter so I need hitters more than pitchers. Also figure out what players you hit best with.

Just got a monitor. Only used it a few games, going to take some getting used to. But even after only a few games, I can honesty say, you need a monitor to reach your full potential with this game. You can pick the ball up so much easier.
I just have to get used to the timing. But you can see pitches a lot better

So me personally, and I know I’m behind on the times, changed my TV to “game mode” today. After adjusting to the different timing windows, I’ve cut my strikeouts in half. Had more “perfect/perfect” although that doesn’t mean anything in this game, I feel more in control of my hitting.
Gotta put it in game mode boys. It’s a must

What is the best hitting advice you have received or do? I just played a game and arguably had the worst day ever in terms of contact and striking out. Im not really great but I shouldn't be this bad. It kind of takes the fun out of the game sometimes.
I drop the PCI too much, not sure where the focus should be. The pitchers release and track the ball, pick a spot and stay, or just react like real baseball. Nothing seems to work long term.
What works best for you? I'm curious.
Well it depends. If you want to challenge yourself select directional.
Now try to guess where your opponent is going to throw and power swing every pitch. You might strike out a lot and get those flailing animations. Hang in there. The key is to wait for the inevitable hanging off speed pitch or fastball down the middle....if your patient enough and can bare all those k's you can easily hit solo hrs.
Pro tip* if your batter strikes out and his catcher can't catch or block the 3rd curveballs in the dirt like he did for the first two he might reach 1st. Then this opens up two run shots. Talk about pay dirt...now were cookin!!
Is this a joke bud

The best tip I can offer is look for one pitch until you get to two strikes. I personally sit on inside fastballs a lot and don’t swing unless I get one or I think I got one. It helps me to lay-off pitches even ones in the zone that I can’t consistently hit. The more pitches you see the more you can see what pitches the opponent relies upon and then sit on those pitches. It’s all about understanding your opponent. As far as timing goes I watched mcgunskis video about timing the pitcher and it was very helpful. He can explain it far better than I can tho so I’d say watch that.

Best advice to hitting is turn off all helpers...no strike zones or nooby hitting box that tells you what your swing is.....hit on Analog Stride and hit on Legend and max out pitch speeds. Do all that then go into batting practice and hit 1 hour a day for a week...then go play an actual game. After doing this then you will become a man.

How have you got this far in a thread and not realized you are talking about something totally different. Trolling is a TOS violation. Just saying.

Not knocking game mode but renaming the hdmi port to pc on the tv and and putting the RGB output to full on the PS settings. It’s made a huge huge difference for me.
Gonna try this
