Grades for 23 game

Offline player only, played since the Show 17. Just my 2 cents.
OVERALL GRADE- C minus. Not a complete disaster, but the weakest version since I've played.
SETS AND SEASONS GRADE- D. Seasons far too long. Sets rotating out was terrible. We put too much time and stubs into getting to have them sitting unavailable. Wild card just doesn't cut it. I'm sure S&S will be back but I hope it's gone.
NEGRO LEAGUES GRADE- C. I love the players being in the game, but really think SDS dropped the ball overall with them. The early Storylines were fun and interesting. But there was never a Part 2 where we got better versions. They just plopped them into different areas like any other cards. Kept waiting for either part 2 or a Negro Leagues program that never came.
And as free agents, their stats didn't count towards TA, which made them much less attractive to use, at least to offliners. A voucher system seems like a easy fix.
Finally, the cards seemed a little underwhelming, didn't they? The only one that really stood out was Donaldson. These guys deserve better cards.
TEAM AFFINITY GRADE- C minus. Like many offliners, I was very happy to see TA back. But if it's going to be like this, it could go away again. 97 overall rewards all the way to season 5 were pretty weak. Then no TA at all in the final season.
PLAYERS WITH MULTIPLE 99s GRADE - B minus. If each successive cards had been better than the last, it would have made more sense. But it wasn't always. Very few legends got multiple 99s. Why?
GAMEPLAY GRADE- A. I felt like it was good from the start. I hear pinpoint was messed up, but I've never used it, so I can't say.
PROGRAMS GRADE- C plus. Not the best year but not the worst. The last 2-3 programs were among the most enjoyable ever.
CONQUEST MAPS GRADE- A. Big fan of Conquest and liked the constant flow of new maps.
MINI SEASONS GRADE- C plus. Gameplay seems to drag now, too many added animations you have to wait for. Do like the different versions now though. I wish mini seasons would be 5-6 inning games, to make it different from conquest. -
TEAM AFFINITY GRADE: n/a
No such thing as Team Affinity this year. We had Division Affinity.
Probably an unpopular opinion, but I'd like to see a return to true Team Affinity (as in 17/18) where you got credit and rewards on a team by team basis.

S&S was the primary reason for the many duplicate cards we had this year. Having cards sit on the side because you couldn’t use them in many of the programs was a huge loss. If they bring this back, I would like to see all cards available (especially in Conquest) throughout the complete cycle. If they restrict cards again, I’d like to see more CORE cards (all Captain cards should have been core). Hopefully, this will cut down on so many duplicates.
NEGRO LEAGUES GRADE- C. I love the players being in the game.
The NL should have been a program, not a different game. They absolutely deserved better cards than were issued. All of the cards should have been CORE cards, and not Free Agents. They should have been assigned to the MLB clubs they played for or were associated with. For those that never made it to MLB, there isn’t much of a choice, but it was a huge disappointment not being able to use them in TA.
PLAYERS WITH MULTIPLE 99s GRADE - B minus. If each successive cards had been better than the last, it would have made more sense. But it wasn't always. Very few legends got multiple 99s. Why?
I’d give this a lower grade. I understand why they did it, but I didn’t appreciate them doing it.

Kaiju completely ruined mini-seasons for me. I’m not a huge fan anyway because the amount of time put into MS doesn’t match the rewards, if any. If they would make MS an offline route to some of the online rewards, that would give me more incentive to play this mode.

@Rocketfish5151 Common sense dictates why free agents don’t count towards TEAM affinity.

He Never questioned why they didn't count...just stated a fact that they didn't so there wasn't a reason to use them in TA Builds.

C, maybe a C minus. Repetitive, subpar rewards in programs for most of the year, best cards in packs, etc. I realize this is a business but it's the first time (for me) the game felt like decisions were based solely on what would generate the most profit.

@GixxerRyder750 If they do it again, I suggest a voucher system where you get a voucher for every 2000 xp gained from Negro League players you can apply to any team Affinity.

I didn’t find them less attractive to use and I’m an offliner. I also finished each TA in a week. I’m not getting the relevance to why they’d be unattractive to use in correlation to TA. I had to eliminate plenty cards from usage while completing TA besides those. Why single those out is all I’m saying?

Because they were Free Agent cards. Accomplishments by those cards didn't count in TA. It's not the players that are singled out, but the fact they were free agents instead of being tied to their MLB club.

Some people don't like to Exchange Cards or Do MTO runs to Blaze through TA in a week. Some people like to enjoy playing the game with Team Builds to experiment and find cards they may not normally use. When you're playing numerous games with Team Builds, you stay away from Free Agents because they don't count towards your progress...
