After consistently making the team progressively worse with their last three moves, DiPoto & Hollander have finally acquired a DH in Mitch Garver and actually made the team better.
I would think this means they will no longer be pursuing Soler/JD/ Rhys and they still need an outfielder and a corner IF, but I’ll take it.
This is the first position player to sign with the M’s out of free agency to a multi-year deal in the DiPoto era.
Hallelujah.

I don’t think he’ll catch many games with Seattle but the stats show that he hits better when he is behind the dish. Hopefully he can handle the marine layer in the spring, where fly balls go to die.
