Interesting trade for the Yankees with lots of money tied to Stanton (who should only DH) and Judge. I imagine they have idea of signining him to a long-term pretty soon of at least 8-10 years.

@fubar2k7 more like stanton, I'd rather have A guy capable of playing the outfield. Stanton will also be on the IL 10 times this season.

@chucky97___ Stanton isn’t someone they can move. Grisham will take center. I think Verdugo gets traded since his spot just got taken by Soto. Someone needs to make up for the guys they just traded away.

Stanton will be gone. Yankees will throw some money at Hader and Yamamoto. They most definitely can move Stanton.

Nobody would take Stanton. They’d have to DFA him or as @chucky97____PSN said pay someone to take him.

You can't restructure a contract in MLB, otherwise the Padres would do it to rid them of Xander Bogarts contact to trade him
